It's everyone's worst nightmare. Waking up the day before a special event to discover a big, red pimple baring itself for all to see right on your face! Here's how to get rid of it quickly and safely: 1. Don't ever pinch, squeeze or pick at a pimple. This only causes it to become more red and inflamed, and will spread the bacteria and oils that caused it in the first place, to other parts of your face! It can also lead to scars. 2. Every 30 minutes, apply an ice pack to the pimple and hold it there for about 2 minutes. This will decrease the swelling and redness and help shrink the inflammation and pain that sometimes comes along with it. 3. They don't call it concealer for nothing! Covering the pimple with a light dose of flesh-tinted concealer can help mask it when you're in a hurry. It also helps cover up that oily shine. 4. Cleanse your skin 2-3 times a day with mild, unscented soap or a specialized acne cleanser that has no harsh chemicals (such as lye). Scrub skin gently with an exfoliating pad or washcloth, but don't rub too hard, otherwise you'll sap your skin of its own natural oils, which help to repel buildup naturally. 5. Apply a cream or ointment containing benzyl peroxide or salicylic acid (many over-the-counter acne medicines contain these ingredients) to the blemish or around the entire facial area. Note that these ingredients both have a tendency to dry out skin if used too much and are not recommended if you have sensitive skin. 6. Wear oil-free makeup whenever possible. These types have less of a tendency to cause the pore buildup that results in blemishes. Remove your makeup nightly and cleanse with an acne-fighting medicine to remove dirt, oil and makeup from deep within the skin. 7. If you're in need of a quick fix, a dab of toothpaste on the affected area right before bed can help soothe irritation and reduce redness. Pressing and holding a wet tea bag or a cotton ball with a dab of lemon juice against the blemish for five minutes can also reduce swelling and redness. If you follow these tips, chances are you'll notice a significant difference rather quickly - often within a day or two. If pimples become a recurring problem or worsen, your doctor or dermatologist can suggest a daily skin cleansing routine that will suit your skin type. Other long-term remedies, such as facial masks, diet adjustments and increasing the amount of water you drink can also help combat outbreaks. It is possible that your acne is only one symptom of your body not receiving enough nutrients, vitamins, minerals or liquids. Therefore, consider detoxifying your body, which gets to the root cause of many diseases, including acne. The e-book, Acne no More is an excellent read about the power of detoxifying your system, and learning how to care for your body the right way. I highly recommend it. My mom sells this stuff from her company and it's like proactive but alot better I had acne on my chin and I used it like 2 days ago and it's gone! I was like WOW and it's always good to wash your make up off before you go to bed with a mild soap and use a scrub atleast once a week to get rid of those dead pores and everything. If you work out you need to wash you're face more often because of all the sweat and everything clogging you're pores! Natural ways as in like fruit and stuff Id have to say wash you're face and use a mask like honey and a banana...ive heard it but i've tried it once but did not like it made my skin feel uckey.Use products for acne.Clinque works miracles too the acne set.it comes with a night gel and it feels sooo good and a day cream to block dirt and oils from going into you're skin you will see results within the first 2-3 days

Avoid frequent washing. Any form of drying causes your skin to produce more oil to counterbalance. It's the oil that traps bacteria in your pores. Wash your face twice a day at the most, and avoid using any soaps or topical formulas that may emulsify and wash away your natural oils. Avoid touching your face (rubbing) too often with bare hands. Get your healthy amount of sleep (8 to 9 hours). Try not to sleep too late and avoid eating junk food (it's not that the grease in the food gives you acne, it's simply because putting unhealthy toxins in your body and forcing your digestive system to stress out your bodily functions can add to any other external stress). Despite what people say, chocolate and greasy foods do NOT cause acne. That's a myth.

Jojoba oil - seriously this stuff is supposedly really close to your own skin's oil, so when you put it on, it "tricks" the skin into thinking it's produced enough sebum and prevents new acne from forming. It also uncloggs your pores.

-Dab some lemon juice onto a cotton ball and hold to your pimple for 5 more minutes. This helps to reduce the redness and swelling, while helping to dry the pimple out. -Use a mild, natural, inexpensive cleanser designed for your skin type. Cleansers containing salicylic acid are best. -Drink Plenty of Water. Water helps to keep the skin hydrated and moisturized. -After you wash your face, Put about 1 tsp. of baking soda into your hand and mix it with a little water until you form a paste about the consistency of toothpaste. Massage this gently all over your face for about 10 seconds and rinse. This will exfoliate your skin Good luck!
