Question: I am lifting weights 5 days a week and walking 5 miles a day /7 days a week. I take a multivitamin/Multimineral, I keep my carbs low roughly 30 grams a day(Ketogenic diet for 4 weeks, then switching to Cyclic Ketogenic diet) If I'm not mistaken, the human population lived on a Diet of mainly meat for 50 Million years. A diet of meat is how our brain increased in size. I knew I would get these kinds of answers. I am following the Anabolic diet by Dr. Mario DiPasquali where I do carb loading on the weekends. Of course everyone is intitled to their opinion. I will update when I lose the 45lbs of fat I need to lose. I got this diet advice from www.bodybuilding.com, I was basically looking for motivation from people who have done this successfully. To the rest of you, thanks for nothing. Don't play with it, I kind of agree you will lose muscle. Any diet where you restrict calories whether low carb or not, you are going to lose muscle, there is no way around it. This Anabolic diet is supposed to minimize muscle loss (I hope). I am 5'10" 240lbs with 19% bf. I GOTTA get the BF #s down to 9% or less. My original goal was to bench/squat/deadlift 500lbs. I acheived those goals (except for the bench, only got to 405) I am tired of looking like a power lifter and want to see my abs. I have had great success on just the diet and weight lifting alone. So I imagine adding 5 miles of cardio is going to blast me into shape within 6 months. Again, I was only looking to hear from others who have successfully done this as kind of Motivation. http://nutritionandmetabolism.com/conten...

The low Carb diet is the worst diet out there. Once you get off of it you will gain weight fast. Especially if you eat carbs, the low carb diet is a way of life forever. Please consider this for best answer

Here are some solid tips on how to burn fat fast off your body. ◾Drink a lot a lot of water every day and through out your day. You must drink at least eight glasses of water. Try to drink 1 bottle of water right when you wake up. Drinking water right when you wake up is one of the most rapid ways to burn fat fast off your body. It also cleanses your digestive track, and pumps oxygen to your brain to help you get going. ◾Don’t drink caffeine, no pop, no coffee, if you are going to drink caffeine then at least limit your intake to 1 drink per day. Also Pop is so bad for you I can not even tell you. It’s just 150 empty calories every drink, it literally does nothing good for your body. If you can replace every pop with a glass of water you can lose 5 pounds in just 2 months. ◾Eat organic foods for breakfast like apples, bananas, plain yogurt, tomatoes, carrots, peppers, raw honey, wild smoked salmon, and so on. ◾Keeping a track on the watch, go for an hour walk. It need not be power walking, but definitely it should be non-stop walk and that’s for sure, in a couple of days only, you’ll start finding the difference in you. ◾Have your dinner about 4-5 hours before going off to sleep. Eating and sleeping is very bad for your body. Don’t do any late night snacking, even if you have a craving. ◾Overall you must have a balanced diet, this does not mean starving yourself, in fact you need fat, to burn fat. ◾Don’t depend upon fat burning diet supplements. They won’t go a long way in helping you sustain your reduced kilos. ◾Sometimes boredom becomes a cause of overeating, so keeping yourself busy with some sort of hobby or activity is very important. ◾If you want to seriously control your weight, then you have to stop yourself from getting lured into trying tempting foods. ◾Watch what you eat, and don’t fill your stomach up, eat more meals in the day and never get that full stomach feeling, this will boost your metabolism. ◾Eat slowly so that you can get a feeling that you have had enough food and your tummy is full. Eat slowly and fully relish the taste.

Heres how to lose weight. First of all you must be consuming less calories then you are burning. Very simple concept. Secondly the only true way to lose weight permanently is through exercise. It is good to see you are exercising. Now when I say exercise I am referring to cardio exercise which is described as: Getting your heart rate up Using your legs For a duration of at least 20 minutes Now you must do this cardio exercise at least 5 days a week to see solid results. And I would recommend exercise longer than 20 minutes if you wish to see real results. The walking you do will help to some extent, but will have no where near the same effects as biking, running, swimming, etc. The weightlifting is also good to see. You are building muscle mass which requires more calories. Also make sure you are consuming more protein.

I hate it when people mention high-pro low carb diets! OMG they are such innappropriate diets for humans. Eating a diet largly based on raw fruits and veggies, whole grains, nuts, fish, and VERY small amounts of red meat and poultry will have you energetic and it will keep you at the appropriate weight. This diet is also called the Mediterranean Diet. The best most effective diet that prevents a variety of chronic diseases. Look it up.

It won't help you if you only have 30 grams a day. You need at least 66 grams a day because your body will think your not eating and just keep storing more fat. As for exercise that excellent. If you don't eat you won't burn fat though.

Day 1: Breakfast: 1/2 cup of oatmeal out of the can with part of a stivia packet and cinnamon apple almond breeze (whatever flavor) milk (it's better for you than regular milk and has more calcium too) snack: banana with peanut butter Lunch: Large salad with 3 oz of chicken sliced with carrots, cucumbers and tomatoes with an oil or vinegar based dressing. snack: carrots and or celery with hummus Dinner: 3 oz of tuna steak with a large serving of asparagus rolled in some olive oil and salt and pepper and baked at 350 for 15 minutes and a handful of wild rice. Day 2: Breakfast: Fiber one original cereal. With a boiled egg and a low fat yoplat yogurt. snack: nuts Lunch: Grilled salmon with a side of broccoli and a side of strawberries snack: apples cubed sprinkled stivia cinnamon mix and cooked for about a minute in the microwave or until soft. Dinner White pork meat. This is the fatless kind. And a serving of broccoli with a handful of whole wheat pasta. This is a low carb and low fat diet plan but I did add healthy carbs you need and healthy fats. It's been proven that when you eat whole grains with healthy fats you lose more weight.
