Question: I am 5ft 4 and i weight nearly 10st.. i am going away on holiday in October and i really want to loose weight before then... i want to loose the weight around my flubby tummy.. i have a real craving for sweets and fatty food. so it will be a challenge.. can anyone help me with a diet plan!!! please thank you

Pick snacks that are low in calories and fat and high in fiber (dried apricots, nuts, rice cakes, fruits, baby carrots, cherry tomatoes, and so on). Vegetables are generally very low in calories, very high in fiber, and full of flavor and nutrition. Generally, you want to - with a combination of calorie reduction and increased activity - reduce and burn a certain number of calories a day, causing a net loss of calories so your body is forced to use its own stores of fat. The best and easiest way to lose weight is to eat less calories a day then you burn and drink tons and tons or water, maybe 2 gallons a day if you can stomache it. If you eat 1200 calories a day then you should try and burn just as much by working out. Even walking would make you loose quick because at your age it will just come off in no time. Just remember that if you don't eat at all you will eventually gain weight. Your bodys metabolism speeds up and slows down with the number of calories that you take in. If you don't eat then your metabolism will drasticly slow down so when you do eat, your store all that food and it becomes fat cells. Eat 5-6 small and healthy meals a day. Breakfast is the most important because if you don't eat breakfast then your body thinks that it's not going to receive food so when you do eat later in the day your body will store all that fat that you just ate for later. DRINK TONS OF WATER!

turn dinner into a healthy lunch the next day by wrapping your lean leftovers in a whole wheat wrap add a little dijon mustard or curry powder for added flavor

do your best to ensure you re not eating after 7 o clock at night you re more likely to make unhealthy choices and less likely to sleep as well after a late meal

Cut out all soda. You'll be amazed what that alone will do. No more fast food either. If you can't or don't like to cook, my fav is lean cuisine frozen meals- they actually taste great! As far as diet if you cook- take a look at the portion size of your meals. Take what you would normally eat, put it on your plate. Then take 1/3 of it and put it back. Just cutting out that much of a serving portion can cut anywhere from 150-200 calories out of a meal. Also try to get more leafy greens into your diet- not only are they good for you but most are also high in fiber and will keep you full for longer so you're not tempted to snack as much. As far as liking to snack goes- if you do, find the healthiest ones from the ones you love and make those a go to instead of the super junk food kind. I'm not a fan of all those diets that you can't eat certain things on. Cuz you always crave what you're not supposed to have. And it's harder to stick to if you're always focused on wanting something SO BAD...
