Question: Im planning on going on a diet, buht a healthy one. im going to eat alot of fruits ( apples/oranges/pears ) eat some bread, rice and others. id also like to do some exercises to speed it up a little. how many sit ups should i do? and does it matter if i do it before or after i eat? im also going to use the treadmill and do some pushups as well. any tips? how mny pushups, situps should i do and wen (dont want abs )? is there anything that i should eat? thanks so mch :] no pills or anything please and no stupid answers thanks

I would eat a small snack before you exercise (like a banana) then a small meal after. Most people make the mistake of NOT eating after exercising because they dont want to put the calories back into their body that they just burned off. NOT TRUE!!! You have to revitalize your muscles with foods with portion and simple carbs. Muscles burn calories whether your working out or sitting on the couch. The healthier and more fit your muscles are, the more they will speed up your metabolism (and get you skinny!) It doesn't matter how many sit ups you do. Start by just doing what you can and increase the number of reps. Push yourself, but not too hard! If you're just starting off I'd start with sets of 30, rest for 20-30 seconds, and do it again! And maybe again if you're feeling ambitious! I wouldn't worry too much about getting abs. Girls usually are not able to develop such defined muscles like that. Its just genetics. If you are able to get abs... I'm jealous! The boys will drool and probably be jealous! Good luck with everything! Remember to indulge with some sweets and naughty things every once in a while! It will keep you on track with your diet if you reward yourself!

You can lose 5-20 pounds in a week, it wont be healthy and when you come off your diet your probably balloon to an even bigger size as your body prepares for another stupidly insane fast. You should only be looking to lose 1-2 pounds of fat any more will be due muscle waste (muscle also helps burn fat). You have 11 days to lose weight so you will probably be able to lose 3 pounds. My advise pop some diet pills and report back im interested in how much a person could physically lose within that time.

Sit-ups or and "Abs" (which include working your back muscles too) are most effective when combined with a cardio activity that relies on core strength. For instance, cycling, running/even brisk walking or equestrian. This combination will help you lose weight overall while toning your midsection. Abs on their own are hardly effective, as there are many muscles in the midsection which require toning to start to "form abs." Another option would be an active yoga (one where you are continually moving- astanga (sp??)), Pilates or dance. The simplest solution would probably be to go for a run/brisk walk (30min to hour) then do a set of abs. You don't want to do just "sit-ups" though. Look up various ab workouts which include working back muscles, obliques and upper and lower abs. This set (or 2) should take about 15min. Your muscles will be warm and they will be working!

Diets are the devil and the worst way to lose weight, when ever you say "I'm going on a diet" eventually you're going off. Just moderate what you already eat and you should be good. Adding fruits should just be a plus and common sense, I recommend Citrus that Vitamin C burns fat baby! make sure you're eating whole wheat, personally I think it's disgusting so with bread I recommend Potato 100% whole wheat bread. Exercise the bane of america as it seems... calasthetics are the way to go. Push ups, crunches, reverse crunches, and squats. aim for 100 of each a day, you can do them anytime of the day just make sure you get them done. As for Cardio, this is the part you want to be fun but challenging! Burpees are the king, aim for 10 if you think you're in good shape, but 5 if you're just starting out. treadmill is alright but takes too long, 30 minutes of heavy intense treadmill will do you good just make sure you have an ipod. But if you have a jumprope it's even better cardio, 10 minutes of jumprope or a surface like wood or carpet a day. if you have to use cement then jumprope for 15 minutes every other day. Burpees are everyday at once. Jumprope can be done throughout the day, but make sure you do it in blocks. Remember you get out what you put in, if you sit on your *** and do half assed push ups and a minute of jumprope and call it a day you're not going to get any results. If you actually work hard and go over the call of duty you'll be losing fat like no one's business. If you need a workout plan, feel free to email me [email protected]

You won't get a six-pack unless you actually lose ALL the fat covering your abs. You're probably not looking to go that far, so you don't have to worry about a little muscle increase. And not after you eat, your body needs its energy to digest, you'll feel tired a lot faster in that condition.

WELL START A WORK OUT TIME EVERYDAY, ONCE IN THE MORNING AND ONCE AT NIGHT! FOR 25 MINS. EACH OR LESS/MORE WHATEVER YOU WANT, THEN DO SETS OF 30 CURLS AND 15 PUSH UPS I RECOMMEND TO STRETCH AFTER EACH STRETCH AND I ALSO RECOMEND THAT YOU WALK TOO, AND THAT YOU DO 4 SETS OF EACH!!! FOR EATING, 3 MEALS A DAY (FULL MEALS) AND 2 SNACKS ONE IN BETWEEN LUNCH AND DINNER AND ONE RIGHT AFTER DINNER LIKE DESSERT. STICK TO NOT A LOT OF CARBS!! HOPE THIS HELPS

I'm going to tell you how I lost about 45 lbs. I used diet pills, taken 2-3 times a day before meals, and ran 2 miles a day before bed after eating supper. I ate the best I could (healthy choice) or progressive soups in a can..and snacked between meals with healthy stuff when the pains hit hard!!!! Also started to drink diet pop instead of sugar pop, and cut down on beer drinking to about 6-8 beers per week and only on weekends. If you snack between meals during the day it tricks your body into burning fat all the time. Also if taken before meals the diet pills will help you feel more full so you don't get the pains as often. Oh yeah (avoid sugar and bad carbs at all cost). If you can maintain this schedule you should be good for about 40 lbs. in 90-120 days, especially if you are overweight like I was because the water weight will fall off, like 10-15 lbs. in the first 2-3 weeks.
