Question: Hi, I wanted insight as to how to lose body fat quickly; more specifically stomach fat. I am a athletic person my arms and chest are well toned however my stomach is not completely flat/six pack material and i run 2 miles a day; workout once every two days and have been trying to eat less oily substance keeping my calories intake BELOW my BMR(Basal Metabolic Rate)=1800 (i've eaten about 1500 and less) is there anything else you can recommend so i can lose this stomach fat quickly and finally get my six packs? =)

You can't lose stomach fat alone. You need to lose bodyfat from ALL parts of your body. Ever seen a fat guy with a 6 pack? It's not because he doesn't do crunches, it's because he's fat. You can do as many crunches as you wan't but, you won't lose fat. My advice? -eat more protein -do moderate weight lifting -eat more calories -change up your workouts

Diet: The most effective, cheapest, and healthiest diet is being a vegetarian (or better a vegan) That alone does about 20 pounds for most people. Exercise: Cardiovascular training is the best way to go to lose weight. You should probably be using a bike or an elliptical rather than running or the treadmill (high impact). Work in the heartrate range of 65% to 85% of (220-age). If you do not have a heart rate monitor, you should buy one. Polar is the best brand. Start of with about 20 min toward the low end of the range and gradually increase until you can do 90 minutes. Do it as often as you can, every day would be great. Do not plan on off days because those will come up anyway. There is no such thing as spot reduction. You can exercise other areas to tone them if you want but weight loss is all over. We have a genetic tendency to gain weight in certain areas but losing it is everywhere and involves all tissue types, not just fat. Bummer but the world is not fair.

Hello X Rider. Im in your shoes too. All those diet fads about loosing weight is lies. It's just plain and simple on how to lose weight. Eat vegetables and fruits. Limit your oils and fats. Thats your killer. You need to be active everyday. You need to record everything what you eat and calories that you've consumed. Drinking soda is unhealthy. Fast food is obviously unhealthy too. I stopped and did these recipes that are needed to lose weight. I lost 8 pounds so far by this way. I bike for 30 minuets a day, do 100 bicep curls on both arms, and participate in gym. DO YOU HARDEST! This way will bound to help you.

an excellent exercise, you can do it in front of your TV: sit on a stool, and put your toes under something (piece of heavy furniture, for example). In your hands hold a little dumbbell. Please, make sure that it is not very heavy, start with one kilo, for example, or you will damage your back and spine! Slowly move the upper part of your body back, until it's parallel with the ground. Stop for a second and move it back to the sitting position. Repeat ten times. Every week add to the number of repetitions. You will see the results in a week, guaranteed! You will see or feel under the fat - if you have any - six pack and muscles. Dumbbells do wonders. Much better than these crunches - I came up to three hundreds and there was no results AT ALL. With the dumbbells you will see it in a week.

You could try a water fast or a juice fast. With a water fast you can lose up to 5/6 pounds in 2 days. Basically all you do is drink distilled water (it's better than tap water because the electrolites help you loose weight) Anyway i did a water fast for 3 days and went from 9st3 to 8st7. Allthough at the end of your fast you cant eat loads. So start off eating rawr fruit/veg and then build it up to pasta and then just smaller portions in general. Fasting is actually considered healthy as it cleanses and detoxifies your body but i wouldn't recommend doing it for longer than 10 days at a time. Anyway this is just an idea that works well for me when i feel i need to lose some. Hope i helped :) and good luck
