Question: i'm not really fat but i have some stomach fat that i want to lose. i don't want to do any extreme diets and i want to keep the weight off. any suggestions?

In order to lose belly fat you must burn fat all over. contrary to popular belief, you can't "spot burn", and in order to lose fat in one area you must lose it in all. Ab exercises such as crunches, reverse crunches and leg lifts are good to build muscle, but in order to get a flat stomach you have to burn the layer of fat that is on top of it. You cannot lose belly fat by doing only ab exercises. I lost a significant amount of belly fat eating a moderately low-carb diet (South Beach). I also did pilates (which builds great core muscles)and cardio/weight training 5 days a week. The South Beach diet is extremely easy to do, and I've kept off the 40 pounds I lost for over 9 months..easily. If you don't want to do a diet, however, just cut out simple carbs (sugar, non-diet soft drinks, white bread, potatoes) and substitute them with complex ones (whole grains, sweet potatoes). Hi dear, follow these guidelines to get rid of belly fat - Start exercising. Getting a flat stomach involves losing belly fat. To achieve this, start a workout routine. If possible, exercise for at least 30 minutes a day. If this isn't possible, strive to exercise for at least 90 minutes a week - running, power walking, swimming or biking. - Strengthen the core muscles. In conjunction with losing belly fat, choose workouts that exercise the core muscles. Effective workouts include dancing, pilates, crunches, and knee and leg lifts. For the best result, keep your abdominal muscles tight during core workouts. - Improve your diet. Bad eating habits can impede weight loss efforts. Eliminate fatty foods and sugary foods from your diet. Choose lean meats, fresh fruits and vegetables, and eat no more than 130 grams of carbs a day. - Eliminate alcoholic beverages from your diet. Drinking more than two alcoholic beverages a day can raise cortisol levels in the body and decrease the metabolism. Cortisol increases hunger, and a slower metabolism makes it harder to burn fat and calories - especially in the abdomen. - Drink plenty of water. Water flushes excess sodium and fluids from your body, which can help you achieve a flat stomach. Additionally, drinking water fills your stomach quicker, and you're less likely to overeat. - Control stress. Being stressed or feeling anxious can also release high levels of cortisol. In addition to increasing appetite, this hormone redistributes fat to the abdomen. Learn how to control or reduce stress. Practice breathing exercises, workout or get a massage. - Reduce abdominal bloating. A low-fiber diet and certain foods can produce abdominal bloating. This prevents a flat stomach. Increase your fiber intake to fight bloating, and limit trigger foods such as beans, raw vegetables, lactose and starches. Take a digestive enzyme tablet to eliminate bloating. Good Luck :o)

Step 1 Do not eat dinner, you can only eat fruit or salad for dinner. You can eat normal for breakfast and lunch but skip dinner with something else that gives you little calories. Step 2 Choose a day of the week to eat only fruit, fruit juice, and water, avoid any other food. Do this for only a day. This will help to clean the waste out of your body. After getting up in the morning, squeeze half lemon put in the glass of warm water and drink it. In an hour or so you would go to the rest room and get rid of the waste. You would feel fresh. It'll help you lose 50 pounds if you continue doing this once a week, you can do this once a month or once every two week but then the lose 50 pounds in 3 months will delay but it still works if you don't hurry to lose 50 pounds that fast. Step 3 After doing this for 10 days then the 11th day you can eat anything you want, breakfast, lunch and dinner, the reason you do this is because you won't be stressed too much about losing weight, you can still eat whatever you want. You start the step one and two again the next day and do this like circle when you reach the 20th day then you can eat whatever you want. If you can do like this you can lose almost 6 pounds every 10 days and if you keep continue you can easily lose 50 pounds in 3 months. Step 4 For exercise walk your dog or walk with a friend for 2,500 steps. You can use a pedometer for that. Around 23 steps is burning 1 calorie. Some pedometer will show you how much calories you lost from each amount of steps you took. They are only about 10$ at some stores. 2,500 steps is burning about 108 calories a day. You may also use other exercises as a substitute for walking. Swimming for a few hours or even doing some yard work for a few hours (Example, digging a hole to plant trees.) As long as you're sweating it's good. Sign up for a sport too. That way you'll have to exercise at practice or the coach will probably get mad. So you'll have motivation. Hope I helped.

why dont u try running? it only takes like half an hour and it is very effective if you do not consume more calories than you burn in one day. i also have this problem, and i do running to help slim down my stomach, it really helps me. it is also verrry cheap to do:) and there are no stupid faddy diets involved.

Pen and paper, put in your pocket every where you go....Think of this your punishment...break it out before you eat ANYTHING..People will think your a weirdo for writing calories,but eventually be wanting yo number when you slim up. Eliminate all drinks but water,, this helps speed up metabolism and break down fat.........Drink a glass for a snack,before meals, breakfast, lunch, dinner keep calories around 2200 a day .....remember water for snacks.word
