Question: I've been trying to study up on acai berry.... but I would like comments from someone who has actually used it and what their result was. It seems that every link on the internet with Dr.'s review and such all lead someway or another to an advertisement. I would like some honest feedback and to know what kind of deal you got. Also is there an actual berry i can just eat instead of pills.....????

I don't know why you're interested in acai specifically, so here's what I know. 1. Acai is a very potent antioxidant, and consuming the berry or pulp also provides protein and omega-3 fatty acids. This is why it's referred to as a superfruit: it has a host of nutrition available in there. 2. Acai is a natural source of energy. Healthy-To-Go, a company that makes all-natural drink powders, has a flavor called Acai-To-Go. I'm a caffeine junkie and sometimes even 9 shots of espresso leaves me draggin' a**, but that Acai-To-Go stuff really helps. It has a lot of good stuff in there, from vitamins to minerals to green tea to yerba mate to acai, and is even sweetened with stevia (calorie-free but ALL NATURAL sweetener). It tastes great and mixes fast. 3. Acai is often touted as a weight loss aid. As you can see, it's high in antioxidants, provides a lot of nutrition, and also can help with energy...but that's what it does. If you happen to lose weight, fine. Working in a supplement store, I have many people return acai products because they didn't help them lose weight. However, there are people that do report weight loss. One person came in to buy it because her sister lost 11lbs in a week off an acai berry product (she didn't say which one). Some diet pills are adding acai in there, so I can't tell you if people are losing weight from the diet pill aspect or from the acai aspect, but I can tell you that many customers do come back for more acai because of how they feel. While they don't report weight loss, they feel more energy and feel better in general from taking the pill or liquid form of acai. 4. Acai berries are naturally rather bitter, so you won't find them in berry form at your local grocery store anytime soon. Acai berries are typically ground into a pulp and combined with sugar (this is how the natives typically eat them) or with other juices/pulps. You don't have to buy it in a pill: many stores do carry acai juice (mixed with other superfruit juices like noni, magosteen, and blueberry), and many supplement stores also carry this in a concentrate (that means you'll have to add it to water). Acai berry is dark purple like a grape and resembles a blueberry...but don't be fooled. Acai berry tastes like a mix of dark chocolate and blackberries, not like a berry you've had before. The concentrates and juices also contain the pulp, which can be gritty. For these two reasons, a lot of people are thrown off and think that the acai berry juice has gone bad or otherwise has a problem. Now that you know you should expect a bit of grit and some chocolaty flavor, it shouldn't take you by surprise. If you are interested in taking the pills or liquid, please please please buy them from a store. No matter the store (grocery, specialty grocery, supplement), they will have a return policy. I have heard too many customers complain that they were overcharged for something they ordered online...about 90 bucks a month! They ended up having to close down either their credit card or their checking accounts, depending on which they used for payment...even for the ones that say they're free. Not only can a store not do that, but acai is WAY cheaper than 90 bucks a bottle!!

Drink grape juice or wine. They are all made with 'berries,' and you might save some money. No, they won't help you lose weight, unless you cut down on your eating, change what your eating to a more healthy diet and start exercising. There has never been a magic bullet and ther simply never will be. The people who are successful at losing weight are the ones who realize this. I have been through it all and know what's it about. The main thing is to stick in there. You can't be an addict to food and never exercise if you want to live a healthy life and keep the weight off. I've worked out, done every diet, and all types of classes. Nothing works, besides dedication and intelligence towards the subject of losing weight. First, depending on how much weight you need to lose, your diet is the first concern. You can't eat 10,000 calories a day and expect the weight to come off, even if you are exercising a lot. Which brings us to the next thing. Duh, Exercising... This is a must especially if you need to a lot of weight. Get at least 30 mins of some good hardcore exercising. Do some cardio, in the long run, it's good for the heart. However, I find the most hardest part of losing weight/keeping it off, in my diet. It's so hard to keep your fingers out of the cookie jar or those chocolate goodies. I've found a great addition to help any one out, it's a natural weight loss supplement called Proactol. Now don't get all crazy on me and say diet pills don't work. That is true, but not in this case. This one isn't meant to burn pounds while you sit on the couch. It's an appetite suppressant, along with being a fat binder. I saved money on the pills at theweightlossplace.com along with getting some good info. It basically makes those fingers not go towards the cookie jar. For me it's the best pill I've tried and I've tried cupboards full. Now this doesn't mean you have to follow my foot steps but I've successfully lost roughly 70 pounds and keeping it off til this day. Well good luck and remember what I said, Dedicate.

As some distance as I can inform, there aren't any confirmed weight reduction advantages from the acai berry, juice, or pills. It does appear to be a high-quality complement (I take it, however do not promote the stuff!) and is stuffed with anti oxidents, which aid avert harm in your frame. But that is what you will have to take it for, no longer weight reduction or fats burning. The acai berry itself is an powerful factor - has plenty of anti oxidents and many others and is quite well for you. But there may be not anything quite to endorse in medical phrases that it is helping with weight reduction. And there are plenty of scams available in the market, watch out in which you purchase it from! I take it, and I consider I consider fitter and higher. But it isn't a few variety of magic method, sorry.

"Some studies show that acai fruit pulp has a very high antioxidant capacity with even more antioxidant content than cranberry, raspberry, blackberry, strawberry, or blueberry. Studies are ongoing, though, and the jury is still out. People eat acai berries to address various health conditions. But so far, acai berries have no known health benefit that’s any different than that of other similar fruits." http://www.webmd.com/diet/acai-berries-and-acai-berry-juice-what-are-the-health-benefits

well i cant sit here and tell you exactly "how" they work, but honey trust me they work. i am on them now. i was (and still is) very skeptical about diets. diet pills supplements etc. however my home girl was tellin me how she went to the health food store and got these acai berry pills. said she combined them with colon clenze and noticed immediate effects. of course i drilled her. told her that i dont like all the side effects of stimulants dont like jittery feeling, fake energy rush that leads to fatigue eventually and all that. told her about my prior experience with stacker pills, alli, and diets. i like to eat what i want when i want. aint got time to count carbs, calories etc... so needless to say i tried it and am seeing immediate effects. i have NATURAL energy (not that fake energy rush) i have NATURAL gas, and NATURAL bowel movements. i stress natural. many people would say that these things are unwantes side effects, but as a nurse imma tell you, a person is supposed to pass gas, supposed to do the number 2. im not saying u go around farting everyday all day. that would be an unwanted side effect, but if you eat, ur body breaks down food and through out this process gas is produced and should be eliminated. with my bm's i have maybe one or two a day. i am not in a rush to go to bm (not afraid of having an accident like on alli) no more constipation followed by diarrhea. children are critical. after taking the supplements for about 5 days, i asked my daughter if she noticed anything different in me ( i had just got my hair done) she said yea ur belly aint real fat no more! i look better in shirts (if i might say so myself). also my appetite is curved naturally. i noted that i dont eat as much. i crave water not sweets ( and thats a biggie for me) also might i add i aint changed my eating habits or exercised yet. but since i have experienced so much progress this quick, i am going to supplement my plan with diet and exercise. to speed up the process. hope this helps. oh yea do like i did, get the pills frm a health food store. i got my acai berrys (extended release and my colon clenze for under 30 bucks. a months supply)
