You're not on a 'diet'. You're merely starting to eat healthier. Each time you get cravings for food you like, you're going to ignore them and fight them until, after a couple of weeks, the cravings go away. Trust me, a couple of weeks ago I was on here asking how to ignore cravings. I took the advice given to me (basically to ignore them) and the cravings have vanished! I no longer want chocolate, crisps or pizza / tale aways. The thought makes me feel a big bleergh now!
All fruit and veggies are good, so each as much as you can! Drink plenty of water, if you don't like water on its own, buy flavoured water. Make sure you eat three meals a day, breakfast, lunch AND dinner. Eat the healthier options of things such as wholemeal bread, whoelwheat pasta and brown rice etc. Good luck in your 'healthy eating' ;) and remember, get lots of water, protein (meat, chicken, fish, eggs) and lots and lots of fruit and veg.
Also, if you're trying to lose weight too, then exercise for 45 minutes 4 times a week.

No white foods. Eat all colors of vegetables. Chicken breast and fish fillets. Beef and Pork add animal fat to your diet and it is very unhealthy. Take a good Multiple vitamin to supplement anything you miss.
Green beans, zucchini, celery, onions, broccoli, asparagus, lettuce, tomatoes, squashes ,just skip all types of potatoes. Pasta and rice.
Apples, oranges, bananas, pears, peaches, melons most fruits are good.
Plenty of salads and a spray on dressing. Add craisins and orange slices and it makes a salad really great. Grill chicken breast (no skin) or a fish fillet with a little lemon juice.
Oatmeal or an unsweetened cereal and skim milk for breakfast.

think high protein. Almonds are really good (cant be roasted or anything like that, has to be raw) really green foods/ the more colourful the more healthy.
carrots are good apparently you can eat as many as those as you want. fruits have a lot of sugar so some can be tricky, but do know they are "good" sugars. sugars that your body can use, think apples, pears, bananas. Grapes are really high in sugar so y our call there.
Follow the food guide make sure you get enough of each group... cut down salt as much as possible. cut down on fat. Think high protein, whole grains and fresh produce.
Wheat (such as pasta) isnt really good for you all the time. Make sure if this is what your going for you go for the whole wheat pasta (doesnt taste any different but totally fills you up) or if you really want to make a try at it, try out rice pasta. also tastes the same but its not made of wheat. rice is easiler to digest.
drink a lot of water. excersise... hang in there.
ps one of your comments is stupid. anyone who tells you to drink 2% milk... lol enough said.

if you want a sandwhich then use wheat bread with turkey and lettuce and zero calorie mustard.
have a salad with lettuce , carrots, cucumbrs, tomtaoes etc.. and RED WINE VINEGAR which has 0 calories. dont use oil.
i am on a diet and i have fruit for breakfast .
the sandwhich i told you at lunch and a sald for dinner.
and ive lost 2 pounds every day.
On the weekdays, that is what i would eat, but then i would pick a day on the weekend which is my favorite (saturday) and i would eat whatever i want. Just for that day. And then i wouldnt gain any weight because it was just one day out of the week. Maybe 1 pound at the most.

u shouldnt diet...diets dont work and u have 2 make a life style change and never starve urself or go below 1500 calories...just eat healthy!!!!!!
-whole grain/wheat breads/pasta/brown rice/oatmeal
-low fat dairy(2% milk, yogurt, low fat ice cream or frozen yogurt, low fat cheese)
-lean protein/meats like chicken, turkey, egg whites)
-nuts/seeds...peanut butter is VERY healthy if u eat 2 tablespoons and stay within that limit
-baked lays chips
-100 calorie packs
-breyers double churned(and no added sugar) ice cream
-chocolate peanut butter ricecakes
-frozen fruit with fat free cool whip
-quaker chewy granola bars
-vegies and dip
-pretzels and fat free cream cheese

go low gi diet, don't cut out carbs just go low gi carbs, carbs raise blood sugar, blood sugar activates insulin release, insulin stores fat, you do eat a bloody lot of food but this is the easy way to reduce that i know of. lose the rice and replace it with barley and oats you need to add nuts and where are the veges and fruit, eat as many veges and fruit as you can and lose some meat and where the hell do you buy tilapea? in australia it is a pest and even though it is killing our natural aquatic ecosystem, if we are caught with it in an esky we get fined for having an illegal fish even though they know it has to be killed, some laws are so stupid, anyway you need to stop thinking carbo-load protein building foods and totally pig out on every fruit and veg you can get, cut back some protein and go low gi, this will bring you back in balance.good health
