how to only lose belly fat?
Topic: how to only lose belly fat?
December 16, 2019 / By Elhanan Question:
I'm having a rough time losing the weight I want. I'm really skinny for the most part, I simply want to lose the extra belly fat and arm flab that accumulated during my last year of college.
I've been doing sittups, stretches, and lifting 10lb. weights like a crazy person for the past week. Now from what I hear, sittups do absolutely nothing for belly fat. But I HATE running, plus I've tried and it just makes me lose weight everywhere else (like my boobs). I'm too skinny to lose weight anywhere except my belly, so I'm getting really frustrated.
It's also kind of hard to change my diet much, because I'm currently back at my parents' house, where healthy food does not exist. =\ I assume in about a month I'll start seeing results in my arms? But I don't know what to do about my belly. Advice???
And should I give up on the sittups?

Sorry not to have positive news for u, but from what I kno u cannot target a particular area to lose fat. Aerobics burn fat fast but it burns from all areas, so your tummy will go down if u do intense aerobics. Problem is that u will lose weight from other places too...& your tummy most likely will be the last area to lose fat anyhow. To build back up on the areas u have burned but dont want to lose, then u have to do weight training to replace that fat-loss with muscle. Your boobs now is an entirely different story & way outside my knowledge of how to stop them being reduced. lol. If I was a female I would probably try curls but with heavier weights than 10lbs as those build the biceps & the pecs. In fact I would go to a gym & do different types of weight training to build my upper body, but I would keep closely monitoring the results to make sure that I am getting what I want. The point is that aerobics burn fat while weights build muscle, & while u cant target areas to burn, u can target areas to build muscle. So I guess that u have to alternate between the two.

You can't make your body lose weight in specific areas, you just have to lose weight in general. The best way is to cut out sugar and junk food. Make sure you don't eat empty carbs (white flour), and do a lot of cardio mixed with weight training. Since you want to do it at home, I would go running, or jump rope. Do situps and push ups and lunges as well.
when you eat calorie friendly fruits and vegetables that are in season they tend to taste better and you re more likely to enjoy them

One of the answers below me is 100% correct you can't just lose weight in one area. Sounds to me you need to just need to tone your body, and yeah I'd give up on the sittups.
Check out Nowloss.com its this fantastic website where they offer all kinds of stuff [all free might I add] check out some of there videos and they have plenty to watch. He has several for targeting your ab muscles to get those six pack abs showing through. I don't know about you but its worked for me in the two weeks I've been using it (3 inches off the stomach) but also everywhere else on me is more toned than it was before. Check it out see if it will work for you
Best of Luck!

sittups dont always help, esp, if u hold the back of ur head while u do them (bad for back and all).
planks are good for strength and stomach musclesss....
but sadly its true pole dancing is excellent for stomachs using all the stomach muscles, balance mainly upper body strength......*_______*
plus its healthly to have a bit of a muffin top...

take a 30 second break in the middle of your meal evaluate just how hungry you still are before getting back to your food

You're very pretty! How rude of those people to say otherwise, especially your family. First and foremost please know that you don't ever need to compare yourself to others, not even family members.
If you want to lose some weight then do abdominal and core exercises, anything as simple as situps and pushups (try 10 of each the first day, 20 the next, and work your way up to doing 50 of each per day). Also, to tone your body try cardio workouts, you can get these on DVD or take a class.
It's really simple if you think about it, the key is commitment. Motivate yourself to exercise every day and you will be healthy and happy!
