June 19, 2019 / By Baily Question:
TO MODERATOR: Please, do not delete answers of people suggesting healthy life style and no medication. We have a freedom of speech don't we????
Please, write as well to my email, as they DO DELETE ANSWERS here for no reason. Especially if you are suggesting natural remedies...
I couldn't believe my eyes!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
If you stopped taking BP medication please let us know your experience...We strongly decided to quit Diovan (BP medication) as we became RAW Vegans and lead very healthy life style. We just need to hear other people's stories...I was mad and outraged when answers to my previous similar questions about quitting BP medications were DELETED by moderator...It's amazing...People have a right to say that they feel better after stopping BP medication. Why are they got deleted? Where is our freedom of speech? 3 answers about eating raw diet and being healthy were deleted, but those suggesting taking more medications were left alone...Can't believe it!
DO NOT SUGGEST MEDICATIONS TO US, THAT'S NOT WHAT THIS QUESTION IS ABOUT! PLEASE, RESPECT THAT!!!
If you quit BP medication please let us know:
1. Did you quit it gradually?
2. Did you take any other supplements/natural remedies?
3. How long have you been off BP medication?
4. What is your experience during the transition?
Thank you (please, write us to our email as well)
To answer a question: previously BP was up to 180/100 not is 117/80 and after taking Diovan BP medication it goes as low as 103/37
It looks like it is more dangerous to keep on taking this medication than try to stop it. My husband feels horrible when he takes the pill as his BP goes dangerously low!
I think that RAW vegan style was a reason of the lowering of BP ( now it is on average: 113/70 - 120/80). My husband is taking 2 gloves of fresh garlic daily, 2 tsp of flaxseed organic oil, L-Arginine, and he likes to drink Valerian and Hawthorn tisane which is supposed to lower BP as well.
We heard about CoenzymeQ10 & ProvexCV natural supplements, but do not want to take them simultaneously with High Blood medication.

Well, aside from diet (including salt restrictions) and exercise, there are some natural products that are very beneficial for Blood Pressure. The most popular ones are Fish Oil, Hawthorn Berries, L-Arginine, Resveratrol (which is in Red Wine), C12 Peptides (from milk protein casein), Bonito Peptides, and Garlic.
There aren't specifically "moderators" on Y!A like there are on general posting forums, but any member can report inappropriate questions and answers. I don't see any flagrant violations in your question, so you should have no problem. ;-)
Good luck and I hope I helped!

Do water therapy. Drink four glasses of water upon waking up. Then brush your teeth. After 45 minutes, you can take your breakfast for fifteen minutes and do not eat or drink anything for the next two hours every meal for 30days. It is also a cure for constipation and diabetes.
It would have been helpful if you'd stated what your average bp reading is. BP medication is very hard on your kidneys, so it's a good idea to wean yourself off over a period of time as you modify your lifestyle to include good balanced nutrition that includes lots of fruits and vegetables and avoiding frozen, fast and processed foods, and regular exercise which does not have to be strenuous (like 3 twenty minute walks a day). You don't have to go vegan unless you really want to, then you need to do lots of research to make sure you are not missing any essential nutrients.
You need to get a good blood pressure monitor and record your findings every day. Only do a reading when you are relaxed and comfortable and have been sitting for about 15 minutes.
High bp can be caused by a variety of things. It would be a good idea to take your medical records, including your bp records to a Homeopathic doctor who will be able to determine the cause of your high blood pressure and go from there.
When you cut down your medication, you do it gradually: eg. from 10mg. to 5mg. to 2.5 mg. But you should talk this over with your Homeopath first. Some will have you skip a dose or extend the period over which you take them until you're at the point where you don't need them.
Based on your bp readings you might not need them now -- they might have been prescribed on "white coat hypertension" -- the fact that some people get so nervous when they go to the doctor that their blood pressure goes up from the stress.

3 years ago, I was diagnosed - hypertension with a reading of 160/100. I used to feel dizzy a lot, my legs had awful cramps, and levels were very low in my potassium, causing my fingers and toes to always cramp together. One day I started to feel really faint while I was driving with my daughter in the back seat and I passed out, hitting 3 cars and ending up in a ditch. That moment,I knew I had to do something because my meds weren't working. I heard about this diet from a friend and thought I'd give it a shot. The results have been remarkable. In just 21 days, I honestly can't remember feeling this good, my blood pressure went from 175/110 to 125/70.

Animal fat could have been what was causing the high blood pressure. a vegetarian diet is quite good. but just remember us humans do need some type of animal meat.

Originally Answered: diet about arthritis and high blood pressure?
I have high blood pressure (Hypertension) and acute osteoarthritis--both of which I am being treated for with medication and exercise. Diet alone doesn't solve these problems.
Believe me, I have been getting an education. Seeing a doctor for both conditions is what needs to be done first, then they can give you a referral to a nutritionist and a physical trainer if warranted.
