I'd say toning up a bit would be good; here's some advice from yours truly:
In addition to 60 minutes of cardio a day (Walking, jogging, swimming, dancing, or jumping rope are great!) I do ab circuits multiple times daily. These help you get toned which equals a sexy body which equals more confidence. When your body feels stronger, your confidence shines through.
*50 bicycle crunches
*25 leg lifts
*balance your weight on your right elbow (20 seconds)
*balance your weight on your left elbow (20 seconds)
Tip: always keep your abs tight (even when sitting or walking)
Diet: eat foods low in sodium to counteract bloating of the stomach; eat healthy food all around
For arms, legs, etc. I use resistance bands, weights, and do squats and lunges (50 lunges at a time and 25 squats at a time).
Small changes are a key to starting a healthier lifestyle
*Take the stairs instead of the elevator.
*Walk up the escalator if there aren't stairs.
*During a break from work, just go outside and walk (you'll be more inspired to keep at it if it's outside on a pretty day) or do a few squats.
*Start small: Do a few crunches/ push-ups each day, and steadily increase the number.
*Even though your schedule is busy, try to fit in at least 30 minutes of walking or some other cardio. (jogging, swimming, jumping rope)
*Turn on some upbeat music and just dance... At home, this isn't embarrassing or anything. Just relax and dance; it's really fun!
*Throw out all the junk food in your house, and don't let yourself buy any... When you're tempted to buy/eat junk food, picture yourself as gorgeous and thin... that'll keep your focus on the goal.
*Switch to whole grain foods; they are much healthier.
*Choose healthier snacks... We're always tempted by sugary and high calorie snacks like we find in vending machines. Instead pack an apple, a rice cake (they are REALLY good), or a nutrition bar.
*Add more servings of fruits and vegetables; it's tough, but they are healthy and can fill you up faster.
*When fixing a meal, prepare everything then put up the bags, boxes, etc. so you won't be tempted by seconds.
*Brush your teeth right before and after a meal. It will curb your appetite.
*Eat slowly and take smaller bites because the "I'm full" hormones will be signalled better.

Everybody's metabolism is different - even between siblings. Also, it could do with your history too. if you were overweight your whole life, then itll definitely be harder for you to lose than it would if your sister was always athletic and just had a bad few months or something. Anyway - there's lots a reasons it could be. But lets put those aside. Dont buy the scam crap that it seems everybodys advertising on here. This is how you're seriously gonna do it and its gonna sound a little much, but if youre really that pissed off and you wanna show up your mom and your sister, do this (its what i did and it worked great, but it does require motivation): go this website: http://www.californiafamilyfitness.com/My-CFF/Caloric-Calculator/index.php
dont worry its not a weight loss product. its a caloric calculator
go in there, enter in all your info, and it will tell you exactly how much calories, fat grams, carbs, and protein you need per day to lose weight.
if you can track everything you eat (have a nutrition tracker booklet or make one yourself on the computer or just be ghetto and have a pen and paper always on hand) and write down the stats from the nutrition labels - and just try to by the end of the day eat up to everything that you need, in 2 or 3 weeks, you will definitely see results. nutrition is 3 times more important than exercise when it comes to losing weight. anyway, after a month of doing that - go back to the website - put in your new stats, weight, and everything, and it will give you your new intake goals. Now youre never going to be perfect, but just try to get close to your intake goals.
Also, step up the exercise. add some calestenics (pushups, weights, etc.) do more than your sister. and dont let anybody bring you down. when youre super fit and they start saying how good you look, you can reply back, "i know, right? better than you, huh pudgy?"
if you want to lose weight in your stomach do crunches and situps. that really tones your stomach and burns the calories.
the rub on ground turkey is that its dry add some olive oil and finely blended onions to a turkey burger or turkey meatball to enhance its juiciness
energize plain tasting proteins such as eggs or chicken with metabolism boosting chili pepper sauce
dont confuse thirst with hunger drink a glass of water when you feel hungry to see if thats what you re really craving
