How can i motivate myself to eat healthy and exercise more?
Topic: How can i motivate myself to eat healthy and exercise more?
June 16, 2019 / By Ayeesha Question:
I'm 13 and weigh 132.5 im 5'3- 5'4ish. I don't exercise all the time, but my sister sometimes drags me out of the house to walk to target or to take our dogs for a walk around the mile. I get really bored and tired when we're about 10 minutes away from our house and i start complaining.
I also eat when I'm bored.
I really want to get motivated to eat healthier and exercise more, but I get so bored with it! I've tried watching t.v while on the tredmill or adding music, but i get so bored! And when I see a healthy pasta salad in the fridge, there's something good next to it.
I really want to get some ideas how i can stay motivated

Try keeping a food and exercise diary. Get a small one (3.5 * 5.5) to put in your pocket or purse and keep it with you at all times. There's something about having to keep up with what I'm putting in my body everyday that motivates me to stick with it. That way I have a record of how healthy or unhealthy I eat, so I can't fool myself into thinking "Oh, this little brownie won't hurt".

135 is definitely in a healthy weight range, and if you have an average build structure, your magic target should be 127 to 131, especially with exercise that strengthens muscles. Binge eating is typically caused by skipping meals.
Ideal weight as a reliable number set, foods based on DASH diet for heart health, and lookup tables and eating tips.
You can also review the glycemic index information, proven accurate independently at Duke University and in Australia.: http://www.lipid.org/education/courses/c...
Calories burned by exercise is here:
And at your weight, there should be minimal excess water, so close to 3,500 calories per pound. With an exercise plan and goal of weight loss, estimate 1400 to 1600 calories per day in a variety of food. My guess is that the weight has fluctuated, and you think back to when you were shorter, but now that you are 5'6" tall, your weight should be higher to accommodate.
Skim milk is healthy. Egg whites are healthy. Chicken noodle soup as a prepared can or packet is much too high in sodium. Fish and white meat chicken are high quality proteins. Which exercise you do is not as important as the time it is done for. Anything that is growing muscle and bone raises your weight target.
Find a role model. Maybe it's a celebrity or a model or somebody who's fit and has a bangin' body. Put a picture of them up somewhere where you can see it daily; that works for me.
Also, try buying healthy food (or getting your parents to) when you go grocery shopping, so there won't be something better than healthy pasta salad in the fridge.
Another tip is to set goals for yourself :) Maybe try walking three times a week, and reward yourself after you do it with a small treat (either edible or otherwise). Set up a schedule for when you want to work out; it's a lot easier to plan it ahead of time rather than just decide on a whi, when you want to do it during the week. Good luck :)

the best way is to start off small, stay on your feet more, do a lot more walking. surprisingly enough you don't have to do hard core work outs to lose weight. you could also try doing 30 mins of stretches every other day. possibly swimming. i think swimming is the funnest way of getting exercise , playing in a pool for a few hours is funny and you hardly know you are getting a work out. as far as eating healthier. cut out fast foods, greasy foods and junk foods. eat more beans, fruits, veggies, dairy and that should help a lot

My suggestion: Do somekind of sport that requries team effort.
Soccer, basketball, track, cheerleading, gymnastics, swimming. You'll have a coach and a whole team to motivate you to do the right thing.

Weight loss is all about food choices, portion control and getting enough exercise to burn off the calories you consume so they don’t get stored as fat. Make sure you eat breakfast - most important meal of the day and it jump starts your metabolism. Eat six small meals during the day like this: Breakfast, snack, lunch, snack, dinner, snack. Eat lean meats like chicken with skin removed, (white meat only), fish, lean beef, cottage cheese is a really great protein also (1%) Eat lots of vegetables and at least 3 fruits per day. Avoid potatoes, white bread and sugar. Drink at least 8 glasses of water per day. Try going for a walk every day at a brisk pace for at least 30 minutes. Cut out sugar and processed foods.
