Question: I'm a 5'6 male, and I weigh 141lbs with a small frame build. Anyways, my goal is to lose a little bit more wait around my face so it will look thinner and more defined and I know I would have to lose overall bodyfat for that. Question is how many lbs do I need to lose to see a difference in my appearance(face) but without looking anorexic?

"How much weight can I lost at most WITHOUT looking anorexic?" - Nobody can answer that. Another guy, your same height and weight, might lose a different amount and look unhealthy. Bodies are not the same. Your idea weight range (for a male your height) is 135 - 156, depending on body frame size, per the source site. If you dropped some pounds it may or may not come off your face quickly. Your body decides which fat stores to dip into. When I drop weight, one of the first places it shows is my face (esp since my face is oval shaped). For other people, they see the fat loss in other body areas first. There's no way we can know at what number of pounds down, that you'd see fat loss in your face.

Increase your exercise, swimming is excellent for weight loss and toning. Decrease, even further, your calorie intake to 1,000 calories a day. Increase your consumption of water. We all 'plateau' from time to time. Persevere and it WILL come off, I promise.

Unfortunately, you're missing a key part of the "Eat less bad, do more good" equation. Any excuse to be active will help keep you metabolism up, instead of your body just adjusting to a lower caloric intake. Read on the treadmill, wake up an hour earlier and go for a jog (especially before an exam - it will wake you up and really, there's nothing you'll cram & retain in that hour that you didn't already know), walk the long way to class, stairs instead of elevator, etc.

Never gonna happen. You can lose 20 Ibs without anyone noticing it on your face, and by then you will already be close to anorexic.

Anonymous, can you please tell me the truth. On the scale of 1-10, you said I have a potential to become a 7 but as of now, how far am I from that goal? In other words, using my scale, where would I rate as of NOW based on my appearance(face)? I want to know so I can keep track of my weight loss progress. So please answer that question 1-2 fugly 3-ugly 4-kinda ugly 5- OK 6- decent, not bad 7- good 8- very good 9-10 extremely good

Now you say you were adverage weight when you tease online yet I need you to understand don't let people get under your skin if you had a good life or already had thoughts about don't be worried because thats the main concern you have right now what you need to do is look in the mirror and say I am beutiful in my own way. lets also think of this most likely those online freaks are immature with no life so they should mean nothing to you and what you need to do is say those jerks are never going to be sucessful with that attitude but I can because judging gets you no where our society is constantly changing there are many who perfer people of all shapes and sizes and you would be surprise how may and thats a fact.! I have seen so many skinny guys go for fat women because they had a big butt and same for gays some look for wider men so I have seen so much and let me tell you must not let those thoughts get to you because you know someone whats to be with you. now you need not to be afraid to gain weight now if you felt like you were fat you DON'T not eat you exercise and balance your diet not eating leads to muscle loss and a weaken immune and thats not healthy. now you must overcome this barrier of fear and put right, live your life the way you were meant to live it because in the end of your life when we all get old you will feel like you have lived your life to the fullest. let me tell you a story there were these kids who use in high school pick on this fat kid everything and he would get upset about but knew they were idiots now 30 years later those group of friends who tease the boy are all FAT and the boy is a model at abercrombie and fitch! so I want you to see how things play along it doesn't matter how your life is currently is it's how the future will be set.
