so far the 2 answers are not correct. GMO do not grow faster and yield more than non GMO conventional crops and in drought condition yield less than non GMO Organic crops. the growth rate is that of any non GMO crop, the same. in other words you will not find that GMO corn can be harvested any more quickly than the same non GMO variety. GMO food should be labeled an if it is so darned wonderful you would think that the corporations that have developed and now sell GMO seed and the corps that process GMO foods would be thrilled to show off their stuff and would label it boldly. But they seem to have something hide, they fear that if the public knew about the secret GMO's (and they are indeed secret) the public would turn away in droves. The creators such as Syngenta and Monsanto claim there is no difference between GMO's and Non GMO foods and yet the have them patented and will not inform the public about them. So this tells me they are lying about GMO's There are some peer reviewed papers about the possible dangers of GMO's but they are few and far between as the GMO creators rarely allow independent science to take place using their GMO seed but the web sites below do have some and can point you is the right direction for more research. http://www.gmo-compass.org/eng/home/ http://www.i-sis.org.uk/index.php http://www.responsibletechnology.org/ http://www.naturalnews.com/GMO.html http://www.nongmoproject.org/ http://www.organicconsumers.org/gelink.cfm

SO far most GMO has been tested as safe, but there has been issues of unexpected allergies in the past. The problem and the thing hidden is you can't just cut out the desired genes and splice it into a new organism. There will always bee hidden genetic matterial in those genes. The chances is low that it could cause new disease, but as more and more GMO's come out, the likelyhood increases. Unfortunately GMO's are now out in nature, and as more GMO's get out, they start recombining causing even more uncertainty.

1) Unacceptable to have weak testing standards before entering the food chain or insufficient knowledge on the host, transporter & infected organism. 2) Probably tied to the organic industry or just plain bias as a scientist which we all can be. There is extremely insufficient evidence to suggest organic as it is defined is in anyway healthier in scientific literature. It 90% of the time cannot live up to the claims made. 3) Can't say if their bodies are healthier, I'd only be making a guess with insufficient reason. I don't know many who are extremely against it, people are naturally skeptical however & often lack basic biochemical/organic chemical understanding & thus it has to be explained in easier terms. 4) Yes I think it should be labelled & believe the consumer has a right to know. However as stated in point 3 most are idiots on GMOs and don't understand how it works nor the benefit it has done for medicine for many ailments (steroids & insulin for eg which are now produced using cell lines or GE bacterial cultures, resulting in much less death of animals which vegans should support). However what qualifies as a genetically engineered food is tricky X bacteria --> y steroid, is a blatant show of genetic engineering X GE bacteria to speed up say metabolic reaction efficiency + glucose ---> alcoholic beverage, is trickier. (just an eg off the top of my head) 5) don't care really but i do raise issue with certain farming practices & such 6) they are not based where i am from as far as i know

The major benefit about GMOS is the extremely fast growth rates and high yield. I would he very surprised if their are any health benifits of GMOS over non GMOS. Ask this the agricultural section and you will get much better answers.

Also a good reason for GM products is resistance to disease causing bugs and viruses that can make one sick or lower yield. NIH is studying GM virus "bacteriophages" that kill specific forms of E.Coli (think the bad kind, E. coli 157:H7, the kind that makes everyone sick) while plants are still in the field or being processed in the plant. They can spray the lettuce or whatever with water containing the phages, and the phages ONLY attack E. coli, if it is there at all. Did a paper on this last term in microbiology, so I know alot about E.Coli 157:H7 If you need studies go to NIH website and search under E. coli 157:H7

I can't believe that him being married was the least important thing about him, the money was more important. Is that the only way yiu can get things, can't you get a job/save and pay for it your self.
