I've tried taking vitamins with more folic acid, and metamucil, and i've tried drinking more water, and eating foods with more fiber what else can I do? It's starting to get very uncomfortable! When should I see my doctor if I stay constipated for how long?

Its fairly common in pregnancy. You can try a stool softener such as colace, its on my safe list. What works wonderfully for me is slightly warm prune juice.

Eat alot of fruits!!!! and veggies too. But try to eat prunes, apples, pears, etc.... and eat salads ands healthy foods like wheat, and eat some beans too (pinto) Do Not Eat Cheese!!!!! It will constipate you like crazy. Try some ice cream after you eat, that is a natural laxative, and try drinking some orange juice and alot of water. Some doctors say you can take laxatives and some say not to, it just depends on how you feel about it and what your motherly instincts tell you. Good Luck!
When i first started taking my vitamins it made me like that also. So i stopped taking them for a day or two. Then i would wait until i did #2 THEN i would take my vitamins after. Also you can try drinking them with juice. And eating mangos helps.

Try eating probiotic yogurt/Activa. The active culture helps a LOT with constipation .

try drinking apple juice or orange juice
in the beginning i was drinking apple juice and i got diarrhea =/
now if i can't go #2 i drink the little boxes of orange juice (2 of them,not in a row. morning and night)

okk. prune juice a half cup like 4 or 5 ozs. or grape juice, or apple, and milk. drink some yahoo chocolate milk and stay near the bathroom!!!

Aww sweetie I know what you are going through! I'm almost 7 weeks and been going through the same thing.. The list of safe medications you get from your doctor should have things you can take for it... If you haven't been to the doctor yet, ill list my below..
Constipation: whole grain foods, plenty of water [ 6, 8 oz glases a day] fiberall, metamucil, colace, or senekot. Constipation is often a problem due to both physical changes and extra iron. Eat plenty of bluky foods sick as bran, whole west breads and cereals. Fresh frusta and veggies, and drinking water will help. Also the safe laxatives listed above.
If you have nausea or morning sickness Emetrol is amazing! Its non-prescription and works magic!
