Help! I want to lose weight, but I'm always hungry as hell! No matter what I do. It doesn't matter if I don't eat healthy or eat healthy. I've tried eating fiberous foods, drinking more water, I've tried all the right things to do. If I eat anything, I feel full right then, but 30 min or less, I'm hungry again. It's hard to stay on track because when I am constantly hungry all the time, eating a apple or salad just doesn't satisfy me. I've tried appetite suppressants, but the longest any appetite suppressant lasted with me was 3 days and then my large appetite surged again! Do you have any suggestions or tricks for not being so hungry? Oh yeh, I've even heard that exercise suppresses your appetite. I exercise 3 times a week and I'm still hungry. I really want to lose weight because I am soon to become a nurse and I strongly believe in living what I believe in and what I will teach to others. Thank you.

I get hungry all the time as well. Maybe every hour or so.
Solutions i would give you;
1) Protein - this gives you a higher satiety level - meaning you fill full after eating small amounts. A good source of protein in your case you be nuts like almonds, meats like tuna and chicken as well as certain veggies like beans.
2) Timing and portions - Lets try to eat a small meal every 2-3 hours. A small meal could be a tuna salad or a light sandwich. Your main meals will be breakfast and dinner. But do not eat after 7pm, even 6pm if possible. If your hungry before bed try to eat some almonds or have a low carb protein shake.
Exercise is very important when it comes to loosing weight. But dont over exert yourself. And exercise will make you more hungry. Try to drink a protein shake within 30 minutes of exercise - this should be high in carbs.
All of these will help with your hunger.

Well I think you should first be commended for trying and sticking with it. You being hungry means that your metabolism is working...which is a great key to lose weight. I'm on Weight Watchers and eat just about every 2 hours. I've lost 22 pounds and have kept it off now for over a year.
It really does sound like you are doing what you should. Keep eating high fiber foods to help with the hunger. I eat a bowl of Fiber One every morning....that really helps me. I also keep snacks with me at work at all times.

This is an Educated guess at best but may be you aren drinking enough water, remember sometimes when we feel hungry its a sign that your body is asking for water not necessarily a calorie dense meal, try drinking a couple of glasses of water the next time you feel hungry or a glass of water about 20 mins before your next scheduled meal. See how that works. Try it for a week see whats the progress and then we can take it from there. You can always shoot an email in case i am not available on this forum.

Try eating balanced meal in small portions. Small healthy snacks in between. In other words, 6 small meals a day. Plenty of water. Keep a food journal to see what kind of foods you are eating and where you can make improvements.

keep yourself busy! when i am trying to loose weight and i eat healthy but then i crave something that will totally throw me off
i do something that will take my mind off it
for example, you could maybe clean, do your laundry or put the dishes away (hey! you'll burn calories while doing it too!)
or you could start a new activity like making a scrap book
or you could always just work out!

Eat larger portions just make sure that your eating low carbs and high protein. Also eat lots of catabolic foods, these foods will fill u up and also they burn calories and fat when you eat them.Continue to drink lots of water and make sure your breakfast is mainly organic foods. When ever you start to get hungry have a teaspoon of olive oil. I know its gross but its a fat and will make you think your full for a couple of hours without making you hungry.
