Question: Im 6'1" 180lbs 20 yr old male. And im not really fat. I have thin arms, legs and shoulders but i just never have lost some weight around my stomach. My goal is to get at 155 or 160lbs and then start working on building some muscles. Anyway any ideas?

Do weight resistance exercise to boost your metabolism and burn fat. Some people run an hour a day but fail to burn their belly fat. This is because they are doing it at a steady speed. Push your body to work harder by putting some sprints in sequence. Combine the slow and fast running to create boost of energy demand that your body has to fulfill and the only way to supply it is by burning some more fat - including your belly fat. And no need to concentrate on losing your belly fat first, it's not working that way. Your body will decide which part comes first. To build some muscles you can combine the exercise above with weight lifting exercise. It is a good way to burn your fat off as well.

When we want to get rid of body fat, there is no way to specifically burn fat from one part of the body. Doing situps won't burn the fat that is covering your abs and doing tricep extensions won't get rid of the fat that is covering your triceps. The only thing you can do is lose weight all around and eventually the problem area will also improve. The way to burn fat is through a calorie restricted diet in conjunction with an exercise routine that will burn calories. Sit-Ups?? We dont have ten years here ppl! If u want to loose fat around ur tummy area...do what i do dude...i eat right and every other day (or whenever works best 4 u, but i think 5 days a week is recommended), i get on a treadmill for 1 mile; first half walking, and the last jogging/running (although i usually start of slow and i listen to my 2 fav bands Korn and Slipknot, so their music kinda makes me wanna go farther/faster!) Then i get on the Ab Lounger (anything but floor sit-ups id good; an exercise ball, erc) for exactly 20 min. then i go back to the treadmill for another mile; again, first half walking then second running/jogging> Hope this helps! and remember dude, just cuz this works 4 me doesnt mean it will definitely work 4 u. I found the book to be very informative and easy to read. I've lost 17 pounds in 12 days, I'm just concerned that I'm losing too much weight, too quickly. I will admit I haven't followed the guide exactly. I'm not sticking perfectly to the listed foods and meal plans (but mostly) and doing very little exercise, but the weight keeps flying off. It clearly works and if I'd followed it exactly I think it would scare the living daylights out of me because of the amount that I'd lose. So thanks again for the information. I've never purchased anything like this before because they are usually full of trash, but 3WD has been a pleasant surprise. Get started today!
