The things that helped my boys during football to lose 10 llbs would be eliminating:
ANYTHING IN A CAN
POP diet and sugar pop
Buy : Lipton green tea caffeine or decaf ( we drink decaf), and green tea with honey. I always kept Green Tea readily available. The anti-oxidants are extremely good for you. I will boil about 2 cups of water with 6 teabags in the microwave, then take out the tea bags when it's hot, add regular sugar 1/2 c or 1/4 c honey while the tea is hot. Then put in a pitcher and fill to the top with water.
READ LABLES ON WHAT YOUR DRINKING-
Things to watch:
SODIUM (salt) - 1 can of reg pop is 40 mg
1 can diet pop 30 mg
Can of lipton tea - maybe 115 mg
CALORIES - 1 can reg pop 140 mg
1 can diet 0
If you drink 2 cans of reg pop a day 280 additional calories, and double the sodium as well.
Drink Tea and Water
If you have a fitness channel, tivo a show and work out.
Have your mom get a grill pan, and grill you chicken or teach you.
If you work out everyday, you can add a favorite side, along with your fav. vegetable and salad. Ask your mom to help you, prepare a list of stuff for her to get, and have your meals prepared before you get hungry.
Prepare for your munchies: Your a growing boy so, if you increase you physical activity, or use weights and watch you diet you should see the results in 2-4 weeks. If your serious

I suggest lemon italian ice that you find near the icecream.
I prefer homemade cookies or Jewel made, before buying packaged.
Packaged foods, canned, and frozen foods ( conveinience foods have alot of calaries and sodium) Again, Read Lables.
Also, oatmeal has so many benefits, it can be eaton anytime. I prepared Oatmeal cooking it with milk, added raisins, ( raisins have so many vitamins) added brown sugar, nuts(walnuts). After I cook in the micro for 1 minute, I cool it down added a sm, amount of cold milk and sugar on too.
If your buying your lunch at school, make positive choices and drink water if you don't have good options. If you bring your lunch include a fruit, veg, granola bar and a wrap. ( flour tortilla, add mustard or mayo, cheese, and turkey then top with chopped romaine and tomatoes)

Your weight is based on height, not age.
Your mom being a diabetic has no bearing on if you eat sweets or not.
Switching your diet can affect many thinks including weight. Based on what you said it sounds like you not only eat better but you are now also consuming less calories. You should be able to eat a bit more since it is less calories and healthier.
Since you are still growing you probably don't need to worry to much yet. But normally take your body weight and multiply it by 15 to get your base calories needed per day. Eat more, gain weight. Eat less, loose weight.
it depends on your build. if your a tall person then its normal. muscles weigh more that fat so it could be a good thing

It is hard to advise you with only the facts you presented.
First thing you should do is see a doctor for a good exam. If there
is no medical reason for you to be overweight then you will need to burn (use) more calories than you take in. More exercise probably won't hurt and could possably help.
There are foods you can eat that burns more calories digesting than are in the food.
These are good for people that doesn't want to feel hungry but want to lose weight. I recommend staying away from fad diets, diet pill and drinks. If you want to know more about the calorie burning foods click on the URL .

Stay away from fast food, junk food, candy, regular pop, ice cream, corned beef hash, chicken or beef pot pies. Use a smaller plate & get used to the idea that you don't have to be full to leave the table. Drink more water. Move around alot (not just when playing sports.) Limit your TV and computer time to 2 hours (max.) a day. Start walking regularly, & try to walk the same distance in a little less time each day. Lift some weights (even if you have to use gallons of water as weights.) Good luck. Now is the time to lose weight...People are prejudiced against obesity.

u probably eat more than 3 times a day and u probably eat a lot of snacks. Even if they are healthy, u still gain weight after constantly eating. Soo, try to even out. A protein breakfast, no waffles, no syrup! try fruit instead! no snack between breakfast and lunch. Lunch should include raw and cooked vegetables, meat and rice is good. Vary lunches with seafood. NO SODA that is the gaining product number one!!!!!! TRUST ME
Drink water, suggested with ice for lunch. Then u can have a snack 4 hours after lunch. The snack can be low fat plain yogurt, veggies, and fruits. And dinner should be at LEAST 2 hours before u go to sleep. Dinner should be the lightest meal of the day! DRINK WATER a lot each day and of course, exercise, Best sport to lose weight is soccer and running. Also, dancing! THIS IS VERY IMPORTANT
Overweight people have heart problems! TRY YOUR BEST

First, the first step is to make an active decision to make a change. There is no easy or magic soution. It's all a balance of caloric intake vs. output. But start out by something attainable. Walk an extra 30 minutes a day. Use stairs instead of elevators. Don't crash diet. Eat more small portioned meals a day. Avoid chips and high fat snacks! Good Luck! Don't give up.

I've tried many diets and couldn't make anything work. Since having my first child, I've been carrying around an extra 30 pounds. This diet just made sense and showed me that everything I was doing before was wrong and a waste of my time.

If you REALLY want her to lose weight, though, tell her gently. Suggest it but say it gently as a SUGGESTION, not a command. Tell her you love her the way she is and you don't care and it's just a suggestion. Maybe you should get fat yourself and see what it's like.
