Hi dear, follow these guidelines to gain healthy weight - Eat nutritious foods that are high in calories. Examples are whole-grain breads, vegetables such as avocados and potatoes, kidney beans, lean red meat, poultry and fish. - Increase the caloric value of your meals. Add powdered milk to casseroles for added calories, add avocados and olives to sandwiches, add wheat germ to your cereal, add chopped meat to your pasta sauce, and so on. - Avoid skipping meals. Knowing how to gain weight involves consistent eating. Eat three meals a day and at least two snacks. - Increase your normal portion size. Take a second scoop of pasta, or add two bananas to your oatmeal. - Choose higher-calorie foods when given a choice. For example, corn is higher in calories than green beans. - Relax - excessive fidgeting and restlessness can burn up a lot of calories. -Add weight lifting to your exercise program. It helps build muscle mass. - Balance your caloric intake with the number of calories you're burning. You need to be taking in more than you use up, and you may need to ease up a little on your exercise program. good luck :o)

Low Carb Dieting Tip Your rate of metabolism dictates how many calories you burn. Heredity, gender, age, body size. diet and nutrition, activity level, and your overall health factor in on determining how high or low your metabolism is. It is normal for metabolism levels to lower as a person ages. Because of this it is important to begin stepping up your exercise routines in your thirties and forties. Ways to Boost Your Metabolism Eat Regularly - Eating 5-6 small meals throughout the day will give you energy throughout the day--helping you to burn calories. Whereas, calories eaten during larger meals tend to get stored as fat. Maintain a Balanced Diet - Not only how often you eat is important, but your food choices are equally as important. Nurture you body with the appropriate balance of protein and carbs. Eating whole foods rather than processed food gives your digestive system a workout that burns calories. For example: choose an apple over apple juice. Workout with Weights - Building muscle mass will replace stored fat. As you build muscle tissue your metabolism increases. Don't Forget Cardio - You need to get that heart rate up and breathe a little heavier. Twenty to thirty minutes of cardiovascular activity 5 days a week is recommended. Brisk walking or swimming are good. Or utilize exercise equipment (exercise bike, treadmill, or elliptical trainer) Fruits and vegetables are clearly an important part of a good diet. Almost everyone can benefit from eating more of them, but variety is as important as quantity. No single fruit or vegetable provides all of the nutrients you need to be healthy. The key lies in the variety of different fruits and vegetables that you eat. Some basic fruit and vegetable tips: • Try to eat more fruits and vegetables. If you need 2,000 calories a day to maintain your weight and health, aim for at least nine servings (4½ cups) a day. • Choose a variety of different fruits and vegetables. It's easy to get into a rut when it comes to the food you eat. Break out and try a wider variety - include dark-green, leafy vegetables; yellow, orange, and red fruits and vegetables; cooked tomatoes; and citrus fruits.

I once had to gain weight and I drank BOOST for weight gain (there is a special one to make you gain weight)-- it is like ENSURE-- full of vitamins. It worked VERY well for me and it is very healthy. They have it all all supermarkets and places like Walgreens. It's usually in the vitamin section. http://www.boost.com/products/ourproducts_boostplus.aspx By the way, I do not work for this company or represent them in any way just so you know. I literally happen to love this stuff. I would also suggest the Chocolate flavor cause I don't think the Vanilla one is so good. I hope this helps! Be well!

Basically, it is not the alcohol accountable...it is you. You do not wish to reap weight? Do whatever approximately it...do not cross the blame.

Not excess drinking but you are in the right path. If you have a protein supplement like a whey protein or a muscle building protein have a drink once a day and do some exercise preferably weight lifting but if you can't just cardio exercises. If you know that you wont be able to do exercise in a day that day do NOT drink the shake. It has a high calorific value which increases fat if u dont exercise.
