Question: I am not trying to lose any weight (my BMI is around 15.6) but im sick of getting....sick! i heard that when on a raw food diet its very beneficial to the immune system. also can u eat tofu while on a raw food diet?

Yes raw food is good for your immune system and you will stop being sick. I was diagnosed with breast cancer in 1999 and I cured myself by eating only raw food, also called living food because it's alive as opposed to cooked food which is dead. My arthritis, fibromyalgia, acid reflux, sinus infections, irritable bowel syndrome, celiac disease and my long list of ailments went away in the first month.i'm still in perfect health today. I haven't been sick or had a cold, haven't even taken an aspirin since 1999. i sleep 5 hours a night and have tons of energy. It's all because of my raw food diet. Eating a raw food diet or raw food vegan diet basically fruits, uncooked veggies, nuts and seeds. Tofu is cooked soy and is not raw because it's cooked. if you want to feel better fast try eating predominately raw foods. If you want to eat tofu or anything else that you just have to have it won't hurt you if you get your immune system whipped into shape. You won;t get the nutrients however because there isn't much left in tofu. But you can live a healthy life and never be sick with raw foods. I eat 100% raw foods because i love them. i have no desire for anything else. i make lots of interesting raw desserts like raw fudge and raw apple pie and many other raw food recipes like pates, almond milk, crackers etc, blueberry pie, lemon torte, etc., all by only using fruits, veggies nuts and seeds, nothing else. the more you can add of any of these the better you'll feel. Even eating an 80-90% raw food diet you will see the benefits right away. I don;t kow how old you are but you are smart to have realized the connection as to what goes into our mouths with what is happening to our immune systems. Many people never make this connction. BTW I'm a nurse too and know all abut the immune system! Nurse Kindheart

Raw food diet would be good for EVERYONE. Problem - it's so frustrating to have the convenience of it at Work and on the road. Tofu is okay on the raw diet and probably best during the transition but I don't think, because the beans are cooked, that's it's officially a raw food diet component. I could be wrong.

Raw food sounds gross to me and how long do you think you can keep this up, eating raw food? I think that if you are getting sick a lot you should try some natural supplements on a daily basis and you should see an improvement.

Well, it depends what raw food you are eating. You can get a large amount of diseases from eating raw meat. But you can buy tofo and shop at whole food stores. You may feel better.

Actually, you don't have to "diet" in fact in order to lose weight, I learned this at the web resource in the box below, they have plenty of guidance, I worked off 6 pounds by using their methods.

Consuming only one item for any amount of time like this is simply not healthy and it will not result in the weight loss you want. You will accomplish depriving your body of nutrientsand slowing your metabolism down, which makes it harder to lose weight. If you want to do it the right way, get yourself on an exercise schedule. This can be as simple as walking once a day, jogging, swimming, Pilates, Yoga, lifing weights, etc. In addition, instead of forcing yourself to eat only one item for a week, eat a healthy diet for a lifetime. This doesn't mean you need to starve yourself or eat grass and twigs. When buying foods, read the ingredients. If you can't pronouce any of them, don't buy it.
