hey guys, im 15 years old and i'm about 105-110 pounds.. im really thin and i want to be at about 120-125 pounds by the time i am 16 years old which is in november, which is 5 months from now. please give me some ways to gain weight quickly..
if i can gain about 10 pounds by september, which is back to school i would be so happy.

im not trying to gain muscles, just weight, and im also tall, about 5'6-5'7

Hello, Lauren . I would like to share with you what worked very well for me! I found out that the true answer to weight loss in our busy world is to have a high metabolism! This allows people without the time to exercise to eat what they want, when they want. How often you eat, how many calories per meal, what kinds of food, when you eat - these all matter and contribute to how fast your metabolism is. If you want to finally be rid of the weight loss industry once and for all and be free, you can read about the diet plan below (it is quite in depth, not enough room here). It worked great for me and my wife, and I couldn't recommend it more, good luck.
Lift weights.You have to foods that is filled with protein and eat some carbs. Then you may gain weight.
But if you were a guy like me and can't seem to gain weight. You might gain 10 pound every year just about. If you light weights all year long then you would probably gain more.
I was 14 and 140 pounds now I'm 18 going on 19 and 192 pounds.
You have to eat and never be hungry and drink water all day long. Eat bread and fruits in between break will you lift weight also.

Do you want to gain fat or muscle? If you just want to gain weight regardless of how, then eat fast food, ice cream, etc. all day long. Not what I would recommend but it works for the majority of the obese population.
The right way would be to eat multiple meals of high protein, good carbs and good fats throughout the day. 3 meals a day isn't going to cut it if you want to gain weight. Eat things like peanut butter, nuts, oatmeal and so on. Those are the good fats and carbs.
Eat tuna, chicken, fish and so on for the good proteins. Drink milk as well. You're young enough where you shouldn't have to worry about cholesterol content and sugar in whole milk. Milk alone will put a few pounds on you.
Train with weights as adding a little muscle will help. Muscle is heavier than fat so the scale will go up with some muscle on your body.

Well you're a girl so I assume you mean fat and not muscle. This is the unhealthy way, but its also the quickest way. Its unhealthy because it will be fat, but I was so desperate to gain weight, thats what I needed.
#1 Get lots of ensure from your grocery store or local pharmacy. Places like Walmart and CVS even have cheaper alternatives next to it on the shelf. Its what they give people in the hospital who need to keep their weight on that cant eat.
#2 Get lots of pasta, especially macaroni and cheese (its very fattening).
#3 If your problem is an appetite problem, as in, you dont get very hungry. Then go to the doctor. They can prescribe you cyproheptadine, which is what I did. It makes you really hungry, although a little tired too. It allowed me to eat massive amounts of food and ensure every day without feeling full.

well if you want to gain weight quickly eat healthy and workout so u gain weight a very good way u cant have junk food but not to much to become a junkie! so when u go to school u can be healthy, and muscular and have a great body. and for girls the same but don't work out till the point where u have huge muscles just till u think is just right. but u have to really want to want it to get muscles. so get working! Go for gym, lift weight instead of cardiovascular exercise. Then take the high protein milk to gain mass. This is the healthy way.
Unhealthy way like : take a lot of junk food, overeating, sedentary lifestyle, sleep late wake up late, and by the time after your adolescence u will begun to gain weight.
You have a very high metabolism rate while u are young due to growing.

Losing weight really just comes down to portion control and the "right" foods and getting active.
As for diet, first you should calculate how many calories you need to still lose weight. Usually this is between 1200-1400. (can simply google a calorie calculator)
Now, foods high in fiber are GREAT. They keep you feeling fuller longer, so you can curb any unwanted cravings to snack/binge. So eat LOTS of dark green veggies, LOTS of fruit, especially berries (strawberries/raspberries).
Oatmeal is another GREAT high fiber food. Steer clear of the pre-packaged flavored ones though considering they contain unnecessary extra sugar that will just turn into fat on your body. Simply get plain oatmeal and flavor it with fruits. My favorite is to cut up a fresh apple and spice it up with cinnamon and some nutmeg. Tastes delicious and I am avoiding extra fattening sugars!
Next, protein! Protein is great for dieting, the leanest protein you can eat is ground turkey breast. Protein is also essential when it comes to rebuilding muscle fibers that are broken down during workouts.
Almonds are a great snack (24 pieces a day), they keep you feeling fuller longer!
Also, drink LOTS of water. Your body doesn't need juices or diet sodas, just simply water.
As for workout: to melt fat off do cardio...running, or the elliptical are my 2 favorite forms of cardio.
Also, cross train by lifting weights, doing squats and lunges. (be sure to get lots of protein if you're going to lift weights) Building muscle will make your cardio that much more effective.
To get a nice tummy, do crunches, plank holds (hold yourself in plank position) and when you're doing your free-weights stand on a stability ball or stand on 1 foot to balance. When you challenge your balance you're challenging your core which builds your stomach muscles.
Remember though to do your cardio! You can do as many crunches (etc) as you want but you'll just build the muscle under neath the fat!
