June 16, 2019 / By Andy Question:
the bad gas is often, the stool lined with blood happens sometimes, the bowel pain and spasms usually happen before i know im having a bowel movement, have had loss of appetite, have lost 30 pounds in the past year and a half, and after i have a bowel movement and go to wipe,i have sticky residue with a little blood with the stool,,,all this scares me,i went to my doctor, explained symptoms, received(stomach pill)nexium and sent me on my way, which never helped,it all seems like it started when i was put on "tramadol and celebrex"(inflammation and pain medication)i know this seems like a nasty question, but its life i guess,so if anyone has any answers,i would greatly appreciate it,,

You should definitely go and get a second opinion on this; at the very least you need to have stool cultures taken and probably a colonoscopy too. I doubt you have Giardia as this does not usually cause bleeding (pretty much the only gastrointestinal infections that caus bleeding are salmonella, shigella or e.coli), but the huge weight loss you've suffered is a strong indicator of colon (bowel) cancer or inflammatory bowel disease, both of which require immediate diagnosis and treatment. I can't suggest strongly enough that you either see another doctor or insist to your own doctor that more investigations be carried out.
All the best

Do not mess around here get to a doctor, you could have a very serious blockage. As soon as possible before it ruptures.
Do NOT take a laxative of any kind, when you have the pain you are having and the period of time it lasts. You cold have appendicitis as well. Please do not take any advice given here except to get to a doctor or you could KILL yourself!
Hi 1. The worst in this set is team not making the playoff. I live by the theroy that laws are really just suggestions, and follow the ones I choose to. 2. My team losing the home opener with me there would be horrid. I drink pepsi while at the game, of course I bring a little container with my own flavor shot in it. The beer guy doesnt provide what i drink, so got to make due anyway. 3. The person that raised me is my MOM. If I was to find out today or tomorrow or any other day that geniticly speaking she isn't, she is still the lady that cryed when i did wrong, that cryed when I walked the stage, that cried when I said I do. I am the person that she calls son, so even if not by DNA she is still my mom. Plus my team going to SLC would suck donkey balls. 4. I bearly have a pinky toe so guess team losing in the finals. 5. Sweet did it make the cover. It would be awesome to be that guy. People worldwide would notice me, I bet. Roosters are pretty fearsome though. Anyone else ever been attacked by a roosted, not fun. I shall say rooster though, as I would LOVE to be that guy. 6. NOOOOOO. You mean I could have started drinking in 99 at bars instead of 2001. Wait I was drinking at bars in 99. Team getting one point every home game wouldn't do. Then would most likely miss the playoffs and that would suck. So homeOT loses for a year is worse. 7. She might find hair on my fingernails ticklish, but imposible to draft a washed up old guy. So going with Draft since that would be making the impossible happen. Thank You

Any good doctor would have sent you for investigation of blood in the stool. It could be caused by the Celebrex which is an anti-inflammatory famous for causing bleeding.
Get it looked at really soon because if the bleeding persists, then you could become anaemicic or pass out from internal bleeding.
Ask to see a gastroenterologist if your doctor does not immediately look into the causes.
Good Luck and better health in the future.

Might be "Giardia" Look it up. It is an intestional parasite that is difficult to get rid of. You can get it by drinking untreated water. Did you go camping before all this occurred or were you in a foreign country? Most physicians would order some lab tests. This isn't something that they see everyday. Sometimes pets get it too. You should think about going to a "free clinic" if your area has any. You will get much better help and they are used to this type of problem.

Never take any blood in your stool lightly, especially if its been lasting as long as it has. This could be anything from Hemorrhoids to Colon cancer. You need to get a Colonoscopy as soon as possible. I am very surprised your doctor didn't recommend this. I know no one wants to go through the actual procedure, but its worth it for your piece of mind and most of the men in my family have done it and said it was completely painless and over before they knew it. Good luck and I hope you start feeling better soon!

I went from a size 16 to a 6 because i thought i was going to die in my sleep due to acid reflux. It got so bad, i had to sleep almost sitting up. Being overweight puts a lot of stress on many organs, but you already know that.
As for the pain....i would lean towards IBS.
IBS is hard to diagnose. Usually, the doctors have to rule everything else out before they can diagnose that. Do you have lumpy/hard or loose/watery stool? Does the pain get worse after a greasy or spicy meal?
If it were IBS, there is a correlation between your period and having flare-ups. Researchers think that the increase in symptoms has a connection to hormones. There are several different types of prostaglandins that have different functions in the body. Some, called Series 2 Prostaglandins, are associated with changes in the bowel that stimulate pain and inflammation during menses.
Being overweight may cause elevated levels of prostaglandin E2 , and right there is where your doctors should start.
Hope all goes well.
