long term effects of alchohol on liver?
Topic: long term effects of alchohol on liver?
December 13, 2019 / By Kelcey Question:
i was told in the past that my liver enzymes were a little off. i am wondering if alchohol will be detrimental to me or not. i was taking milk thistle prior to the blood test so maybe it made the results better than they should have been, anyway. Is it anything serious?! i was told it was still in the normal range. would up to 3-4 beers a night just for a buzz be bad? please list why you think you know this too, thanks.

How many shot's of rum go with that 3-4 beer!
Hey after building, I can kill a 18 pack, I'm just 1 step any from being fullblown.
3 to 4 beers, no way is your liver going to be affected, you may have other problems that change the test's outcome.
Here's my point, you worry that the beer a (sin?) is causing your health promblems. (your worry will do more damage)
Stress is the big ONE and how we deal with it. I can't deal with the house hold stress. But in the morning I go to work with a conviction on how a home was built. Then I come back to the real word, Hey I just typed this after a 18 pack. How's my spelling .
Worry can be the biggest stress that can kill.
Well my liver is calling for a cold one. Good luck.
My dadsaid i was a good spellar.

Mine was from thyroid disease ... many yrs undiagnosed.
Have you had your thyroid tested? You need testing for thyroid ANTIBODIES as well as TSH. TSH ‘norm’ should be .3 – 3 (w/ most feeling best at < 2) but, for diagnosis, may not mean much if ANTIBODIES are present which is indicative of Hashimoto’s Autoimmune Thyroiditis (cycles between HYPER & HYPO at start)…it is the main cause of eventual HypOthyroidism but worse (...OR Graves Disease – HypERthyroid from beginning).
WARNING: Doctors seem not to want to find/treat thyroid disease. You may have to go to more than one doctor before you get the right tests, interpretation, and treatment. Best wishes.
ALWAYS GET COPIES OF YOUR LABS.
God bless you
Alchohol is very bad for the liver you will finally wind up with psorasis of the liver. I am sure that if you are drinking 3-4 beers a night them this is not good. try not drinking any beer for a month to 6-weeks then go back and have the test done over and see if the results are the same.

Yes. Over an extended period of time it can be very detrimental. Also any medications that you take is also filtered thru the liver. Remember that next time you need a couple of tylenol, after drinking on a daily basis.....

Actually, little amount of alcohol is also needed in our diet but not that much as what you do. It can actually disable your liver to do most of its job and one of them is detoxifying harmfull substances. Your habbit might lead to accumulation of too much fat in your liver which may lead to fibrosis or forming of scar on your liver, this condition is also associated with cirrhosis. This may alter or cause mutation on your liver cells which leads to cancer.

If you take those every night for an extended period of time your body will become dependent on them. It will stop producing melatonin on it's own and you'll NEED those pills to get to sleep.
Extra credit: That's illegal. It violates some health/safety standards and anyone who would buy an opened bottle of pills deserves what's coming to them.
