Question: I am trying to lose weight and i am looking for a high protein diet plan but can't seem to find one. Any suggestions?

Hi. :) Okay, try something similiar to the following list I'm giving you. I too am trying to lose weight and this is what I'm using. 9:00 am- greek yogurt or homemade smoothie, rice cake. 12:00 pm- 8 oz chocolate or regular milk, 10 raw almonds 3:00 pm- fresh or frozen unsweetened fruit, 1 cup. 5:00 pm- 1/2 cup boiled unflavored chicken, 1 cup lemonade. Throughout the day I also drink 5-8 glasses of water, and most of the time I add a teaspoon of lemon juice, which is a natural cleanser. If you follow this list and add 30 minutes to an hour of exercise, you will see results. I also choose one week out of the month to have a no sugar week. This means nothing sweet except gum and powdered coffee creamer. Whem I do that and truly stick to it I lose about 3 pounds in a week. In addition to protein, fiber is also key, since it helps your digestion and makes you feel full. Hope I helped, good luck!!!!! ;)

you can lose alot of weight but if its maintable or not.. Carb's however, aren't the enemy - bad, processed carbs and processed foods in general are the problem. If you eat whole foods (potatoes and fruit included), you'll lose weight. Your body's endocrine system (hormones) will regulate appetite once your healthy. That being said, if you stop eating carbohydrates the key is NOT just increasing protein. There's nothing wrong with eating high protein, but it's just not sustainable. It's really tough to eat a lot of protein. The key is eating more protein AND a lot of healthy fat: - Full fat Greek yogurt - Full fat coconut milk - Raw, whole milk - butter from grass fed cows (Kerrygold brand) - unrefined coconut oil - animal fats from grass fed beef or at least organic raised animals (not that CAFO crap you find in regular grocery stores) - avocado, olive oil and macadamia nuts When you cut carbohydrates, you have to get your calories from either protein or fat

always have vegetables on hand saute a big bag of frozen mixed vegetables in olive oil and garlic add some red pepper or turmeric for additional flavor and separate into portion sized containers for the fridge

You will feel good about it and feel very healthy. If still growing, so grow grace fully. Doing some Body parts specific weight free, free hand exercises can do wonders for biceps and triceps. Same for abs, do abdominal and side bends and front bends and even back bends. When you get going on biceps and triceps, you will have enough strength to do pull up and chin ups. Bicycling can save time and if possible swim in a safe place or in a pool ii it is convenient. In the mean time just hang from your hand and just keep trying one day you will be able to pull yourself up. Then try chin ups, and slowly add a one more every few days. All this is found on the Net and in the library, so read up on it and do it correctly so you that you may not get hurt. Must drink 1 gallon of water per day. Eat right, include all food groups per this site above. Do not exceed the total calories per day and eat at least 1500 calories per day every day. One pound of fat is about 3500 calories. You must sleep up to 7 to 9 hours a day time permitting and including naps. Go for a walk every day for 1 hour,around your residence, start slowly (5 minute), to warm up then increase the speed a little till you can maintain a good clip then slow down to cool off (5 minute before the end of 1 hour). Do the walking in one direction for about 30 minutes then return home, may take little longer. Or look up total body weight free free hand exercises and do them for 1 hour every day. You find them in the library and on the Internet. They can be done at home does not need gym. The problem that I see as an armchair nutritionist with protein diets is they tend to skip other food groups that are critical to all around good nutrition. It is almost impossible for anyone to eat to little protein in the typical american diet. And yes, anything in excess will lead to weight gain. Protein is not a panacea. You need fats and carbohydrates too. If you skip on the fats and carbohydrates, then you will pay for it later. We call that malnutrition. You said some interesting things. You sound willing to take control. But, I have a feeling that you haven't accepted yourself yet. Eventually you will realize that it's okay not to be perfect.
