If "you don't need a colon cleanse" then how do you explain all the benefits?
Topic: If "you don't need a colon cleanse" then how do you explain all the benefits?
June 18, 2019 / By Alline Question:
I have been doing some research on colon cleanse products. I understand that some just act as a laxative and some help tp clean out your system. I have read on some websites that doctor's say a colon cleanse is not needed because you body already does an excellent job at filtering things out. Sounds like they are keeping job security to me. How then do you explain the people that loose weight and have all that nasty stuff flush out of thier system? People say just eat fiber but eating fiber alone and eating well does not allow all that "junk" to flush out. I'm sure you have seen the pictures. My question is: If they say it's not needed, they how do you explain the massive ammount of junk that gets released after using one of these products? Woudl much rather NOT have that in my body. Thanks
What I am refering to is the colon cleanse products that you take as herbs (supplements) or mix as a powder) Thanks.
People mention that they didn't need that hundreds of years ago, But hundreds of years ago we did not have the toxins and chemicals that are in our food today. It's a fact that processed food has many items that our body was not meant to digest.

u lose weight because ur body doesnt have time to absorb as many of the things it ordinarily does... Ur intestines move the faeces along by peristaltic movements, which normally works fine at cleaning everything out, but for someone who has some kind of bowel disorder (divtiulitis (cant remember how to spell it!) or irritable bowel syndrome etc) it doesnt get cleared out as effectively. If it say got 'caught' on a bit of inflammed skin..it could cause serious troubles.
The 'junk' that is flushed out from the pictures u say... would normally come out.. just a little later than it does with a colon cleansing product.
I personally dont think they do any good. The purpose of eating is to get the nutrients into the body, and the body doesnt get a chance to do so wen doin this. Plus its not actually all that good for ur digestive system, as its not functioning the way it was designed to...
hope this helps a little! :)

You are really just looking at a painful and drawn out way to empty your entire digestive tract.
The lemon detox/master cleanse diet you are referring to is a calorie deficit program.
You will lose weight on this diet whether you are attempting weight loss or just trying to "cleanse". The average adult has eight meals in their digestive system. Five more than they should. By going on a deficit diet like this you can lose up to 10 pounds just by not eating. But it is only the weight of the food in your digestive system. Plus the weight of the lost glycogen stores, excess sodium and associated water. This can add up to 15-20 lbs depending on your build. So it does work but it does not change your size. Pour the soda out of a bottle and the shape of the bottle doesn't change does it? Once you start eating again you just replace all the missing food in the system.
The signal these starvation diets send the body is that there is no more food available. The body immediately stores any fat it can and begins to convert muscle and even organ tissue first for fuel instead of the stored fat. Stored fat will be used as a last resort when needed. The complete opposite of what you are trying to accomplish. And sadly metabolism actually drops.
There is no build up of bad plaque, toxins, or sludge in a normal, reasonably healthy system.
If this was the case we would have people dying left and right from malnutrition since their small intestines couldn't absorb nutrients.
The majority of the water from food and what we drink is reabsorbed through the colon, if our colons were clogged we would all be walking around looking like sponges right?
Detoxing is ridding the system - liver, kidneys, and intestines of toxins both internal and environmental. Our liver and kidneys aren't clogged with toxins. Otherwise we would be dead. The liver does in fact get layered with fat if we become overweight.
We "cleanse and detox" naturally 24 hours a day through respiration, sweat, liver, and kidneys.
We can help by eating a healthy diet with minimal added sugar and salt. Lots of fresh fruit, vegetables, whole grain foods, beans, peas, and brown rice keep a system as healthy as it can be.
Minimal alcohol, caffeine, soda.
Read food labels. If you can't pronounce it, don't put it in your body.
A healthy high fiber diet works every time.
Increases the speed and efficiency of the digestive system and helps the body rid itself of both internal and environmental toxins.
Cleanses actually flush out the beneficial bacteria and enzymes in the digestive system.
Search "gut flora" to learn about the beneficial bacteria we need in our colon.
We have more beneficial bacteria in our digestive systems than all the cells in our bodies!
Did you know the digestive system is one of the largest contributors to our immune system?
They don't tell you about the gas, cramping, and bloating you will experience when you start eating again and the body has to rebuild this bacteria population.
Spend your money in the produce department.
Remember in Beverly Hills Cop when Judge Reihholdt tells the his partner that "by the time the average man is 50 years old he'll have 5 pounds of undigested, rotting meat in his intestines"?
This question reminded me of that. I've never had the "colon cleansing", although because of severe medical problems I've had a bunch of unofficial colon cleansing for medical tests. (I'm not sure if it accomplishes the same thing or not.)
I'm convinced that it IS necessary for our health to get rid of those toxins.

People have been living for millions of years without the need for colon cleansing.
I doubt the Julius Caesar, Plato, Confucious or Noah felt the need for a colon cleanse.

You don't need one; but a clean colon is a happy colon, and can help reduce risk factors and other stuffs.
you could just take a lot of fiber; but if you're a bigger person, cleaning out your colon can shed up to ten pounds from your weight.

you answered your own question. only people that have diets high in processed foods would see benefit from a colon cleanse. coincidentally these same people typically get little to no exercise which can also have a negative effect on the bowel

get a colonic, they have to shove a tube in you @ss but you get a much better cleansing then with those enema like products.

It's not needed like vitamin C pills aren't needed. It'll help you if you take it though.
Personally I would avoid having a tube shoved up my butt and then warm water jetisent into my bum, lol. But I have heard it's good for you.

Eating grapenuts everyother day doesn't sound appealing, unless you really like it. Your bloating and stomach pains are the real problem you need to work on. The plugged up colon is the by product of what is happening in your stomach. First get your stomach working well again. A digestive aid for your stomach is Hydrocloric acid (pills or capsule). Next get some enzymes for the intestines. Then get some acidophilus for digestion. Are you over eating or eating the same foods everyday? Get more variety in your diet. Are you brushing your tongue when you brush your teeth? A clean tongue will taste the food better. Your sense of taste is vital for good digestion. Without it you won't make the digestive juices that are needed for assimulating food.
Last is the colon cleanse. If the colon is plugged up, nothing leaves the house. Its like sweeping the floor with the door closed. You can't get the dirt out.
