If you have no water for 7 days you will die. That's a STUPID idea. Nothing in your body works correctly without the lubrication from water. And weight lost to not drinking water will come back in a few hours once you stop your liquid fast. Your body knows the amount of water it needs to function and automatically keeps it at that level.

Sam save your self some money and don't bother with the atkins diet. I went on a low carb diet 12 months ago and have lost over 130lbs. I went on a Paleo diet lifestyle change. basically you stop eating grains, rice, bread, no sugar, corn, pasta and eat lots of vegetables with protein like fish, meat, and chicken. The key is to eat a lot of veggies they help you digest food. The first few days will be tough because your body will crave bad carbs but once you get over that hump you will start shedding the weight off.
I also recommend not to eat more than two servings of fruit a day because they have a high sugar content, i try to eat fruits all before 2:00pm daily.

First off start right now. If you're serious about losing weight 'fast', then don't wait to start. There is no healthy way to lose more than 2lbs a week so start now. No excuses.
Aim to eat about 1200-1500 calories a day, never any fewer than 1200 unless you're under the care of a physician or other medical health professional who specifically instructs you to do so.
I'd also caution that "quick weight loss" through "dieting" is not the answer - if you're planning on drastically reducing how much you eat now, you're not learning to eat properly. And if you legitimately need to lose weight you need to address the problems which resulted you becoming overweight in the first place - and that's usually eating improperly and not exercising enough. If you starve yourself now, you haven't learnt to eat properly and it is just a matter of time before you gain back all you lost.
