Question: i really need a better way to lose weight. i tried dieting, but i gained more weight. any movies, websites or anything i could do?

Hello :) To help tone up and slim down as they say, I'm a firm believer in that water will do miracles and I'm not talking about 'flavored' water unless it's Propel with vitamins or naturally sweetened with real sugar, fruit or honest-to-goodness plain, chilled and portable/on hand. Stay away from 'diet' or 'sugar-free' unless you're diabetic - the 'fake' or alternative sugar confuses the pancreas and liver in converting this type of sweetner into instant energy, so it stores it in 'fat' which is the equivalent of dropping one penny in the bank, exponentially. After a short period of time, 10g of sweetner turns into 10lbs of fat. Scary, isn't it? So, if you prefer the taste of it - use it sparingly. If not, forget about using 'diet/sugar free' and enjoy 'raw' or cane sugar since it is unprocessed. Honey is excellent if you enjoy tea, and there are other natural alternatives out there. Yes, they can be expensive. Otherwise, if you're on a low budget, stick to water and make those other drinks a 'treat'. Another tip: don't 'deny' yourself anything. If you want it, have it - just remember: Food is necessary, eat and enjoy - just don't use it as an 'escape.' As for weightloss overall: It depends on the level of activity, caloric intake, method and frequency of exercise and yes, type of diet. I've been enjoying what I like and moderation is the key. I've incorporated more water yet being sensible about my exercising/weightloss goals. Make "mini" goals such as "loose a pants-size" or "gain more energy" or perhaps work on overal stamina. Walking is wonderful and best of all -FREE!- Get a friend to come with you, or walk in a safe area with some music. Especially outside, the sunshine will be beneficial to your mindset. If you don't like walking, go for a swim, try rollerblading or jumprope - perhaps a beginner's Tae-Bo tape and crank up the tunes. Some physical routine will help out - just do it in spurts, 10 minutes to being with and do that anywhere up to 3 times a day and then only 3 times a week. You'll be stunned how easy it is! Once you build some muscle mass, the weight will begin to shed. Sure, you will hit a plateau here and there, feeling as if you're stuck. Key to all of this is enjoying the workout, doing it for your health for the first part, then the desired figure will come later. If you try to rush the process, you could end up hospitalized. As we all know, hospitals are no fun at all - unless you're into wheelchairs and IV's... that's for a different conversation. Basics of losing weight are this: **Moderation in food (fiber rich/vitamins/minerals: eat them naturally if you can. If you cannot, I recommend Viactiv Mutli-vitamin chews once a day with plenty of water to -suppliment- and NOT replace real food.), lots of water and exercise. **Positive Mind Frame is essential! Stress adds weight - so be happy and enjoy life! **Doing the exercise to become healthier and happier, not to please someone else. That's another downfall of many women. How many men do you see rushing out to the gym to please a woman by working out? Not very many. This 'body renovation' is purely for yourself and then bask in the glow of those who are new/exisiting admirers of your newly found, inner and outer strenght. **With enjoyment comes tranquility and when you're at peace with yourself, you'll notice your confidence rise and the weight will shed. People gravitate to those who have stability and positive attitudes. **And no matter what size you are, you have to accept yourself for 'who' you are, not what you've become or what dress-size you are currently at. All women are vain at some point (even myself.) and it's a good thing in small doses. Just not every blessid minute of the day. I like to call them "Sheeple." They watch endless hours of MTV(2), E! and live off of gossip from tabloids/grossly over-sexed magazines to the "T" and wouldn't know their own tuckus from their elbow. ;) If you only see yourself as 'beautiful' or only acceptable if you put on a full face of makeup and are wearing designer -overpriced- fashions and listening to what everyone else wants you to do, you're no better than the people who might have been antagonizing you in the first place. So lose the weight for yourself and no one else. Do it for your health and well-being. Do it for your self-esteem and personal goals and most of all - Have Fun! I'm winning this battle. Sure, the benefit of losing weight is to have a "sexier" or more "attractive" body for a potential/existing partner, yet that all comes with attitude. The body is your temple for your soul. Treat it well, keep it well maintained and it will do wonders for you in return. This philosophy of strong mind, strong body, strong soul can be traced back to long ago with the most recognizable being the Greek/Roman era. Check out the link I've provided. Read this book: Abs Diet for Women: The Six-Week Plan to Flatten Your Belly and Firm Up Your Body for Life by David Zinczenko, Ted Spiker . It won't make you thin overnight, but it has the key tips to eating healthier and what you'll need to do to change your current lifestyle to lose weight and remain fit for life. I've used the Men's version and it was very helpful. Also, always remember this... if you eat 4-5 healthy meals for every unhealthy meal, you are still 4-5 times better than if you ate all unhealthy. Try to stick to good meals, but don't get upset if you cheat on occasionally. It's a "reward" for your body for keeping up with the diet. GOOD LUCK!

Hey I understand the problems you’ve gone through when trying to lose weight, my friend is in the same situation as you, and nothing worked for him until he came across the Diet Solution Program. I found the book to be very informative and easy to read. I've lost 17 pounds in 12 days, I'm just concerned that I'm losing too much weight, too quickly. I will admit I haven't followed the guide exactly. I'm not sticking perfectly to the listed foods and meal plans (but mostly) and doing very little exercise, but the weight keeps flying off. It clearly works and if I'd followed it exactly I think it would scare the living daylights out of me because of the amount that I'd lose. So thanks again for the information. I've never purchased anything like this before because they are usually full of trash, but 3WD has been a pleasant surprise. Get started today!

Nope, all the good pills are now illegal. The BETTER Cabbage Soup Diet: I have taken the original CSD and added more information to make it more feasible to do, and easier to follow. You can find the recipe for THE CABBAGE SOUP DIET anywhere on the internet or in yahoo answers. Things to remember: When making the actual soup, add spicey v8 juice. Making the soup spicey REALLLLY made it greatJ Remember, you only get gas from veggies if you eat fruit at the same time. ….eat them at different times and no gasJ IF you think raw celery is bitter or salty, soak ur pre-cut slivers in bag with cut lemons- they then taste like lemons! Mmmm Freeze grapes and bananas for a frozen treat on the days u can have fruit FIRST- GO SHOPPING Buy all the ingredients for the soup, lots of fruits (no bananas) and extra veggies for munching on throughout the process, like carrots & celery. DAY ONE All fruit except bananas. Your first day will consist of all the fruit you want except bananas. Cantaloupes and watermelon are lower calories than most fruits. Eat only your soup and fruits the first day. For drinks - unsweetened tea, cranberry juice or water. My notes: Well, this was the easiest day, as we all love fruit. Fruit is also acceptable to eat for breakfast. I was short on money so I grabbed some pears from our pear tree, and some apples off the neighbors tree lol. Then grapes (wash n bag in zip locks, take with u when u leave the house to munch on). The grapes that get a little soggy, I freeze as a treat for at night when the family eats ice cream grrrr. By the end of this first day, I felt a little weak and dizzy (prolly just mental from the lack of carbs, so I ate 4 pretzels, took 2 Tylenol and went to bed early). DAY TWO All vegetables of your choice. Try to eat green leafy veggies and stay away from dry beans, peas and corn. Eat all the vegetables you want along with your soup. At dinner time on this day reward yourself with a big baked potato with butter. Eat all the soup you want this day, but NO fruit. My notes: Well I woke up STARVING And the thought of veggies for breakfast was not a happy thought. SO I ate a small baked potato w/ butter for breakfast and THAT really hit the spot! Then I was able to munch on carrots/celery stix til almost lunch time then had the soup. Then I cut up a bowl of red pepper, zuccini, chick peas & fresh green beans (all the veggies that weren’t in the soup). I sautéed them in some olive oil, sesame seed, garlic, lemon and eh it was ok, at least it was different. Since I had lemons, I started to squeeze the lemon juice into my water, which was like lemonade. DAY THREE Mix day one and day two. Eat all the soup, fruits, veggies you want. You CANNOT have a baked potato this day. My notes: Ok, worst day yet, but I was feeling great so I didn’t mind. I didn’t wake up hungry, and I didn’t feel hungry all day. The hard part is that it was a Saturday, which at my house usually means home with the family, and fun snacks & big meals we don’t eat all week….and of course beerL SO I used my love of coffee to get me thru this day, having 3 cups. I really have been feeling great, like I have tons of energy, I was afraid I’d feel weak, but instead I was able to go for a long walk today & move an entire bedroom, clean the carpets and paint it! Woke up at 8 am and went to bed at 1 am. Oh ya, today I took the bean, zuccini, pepper mixture I had made and dumped it in the soup which tasted better lol. DAY FOUR Bananas and skimmed milk. Eat as many as 8 bananas and drink as many glasses of skimmed milk as you can on this day, along with your soup. Bananas are high in calories and carbohydrates and so is the milk, but on this particular day of your diet your body will need the potassium and the carbohydrates, proteins, and calcium to lessen your craving for sweets. My notes: Well, there ARE 2 diff kinds of bananas first of all, firm yellow ones and squishy ripe brownish/yellow ones. I decided since I’ve missed breakfast the most, that I would dice up some firm yellow banana in a bowl and eat it like cereal - this worked well! I almost fooled myself into thinking it was cerealJ and it was DELICIOUS! That simple banana and bowl of milk at 8 stayed with me! I wasn’t even hungry at 11:00? But I ate another banana anyhow ( I like to beat the feeling of hunger if I can) The really ripe mushy banana, can be smashed and whipped up in a bowl and is just like pudding. Then, you know those chocolate dipped bananas that u freeze? Well I made one w/o the chocolate, for a frozen treat in the evening instead of ice cream lol. (did this the night before). Milk tasted great on this dayJ I was able to add some to my coffee. Up at 8 am, went right to work moving my daughters bedroom to the upstairs bedroom- good workout!
