Warm water with lemon juice in. Plenty of fluids, try 5 glasses a day (I know people recommend 8, but that is really a bit too much, you'll just pee it all out). Exercise such as jumping, jump rope, jogging or running. Rubbing your stomach in a clockwise motion. Don't be scared, it's only two days! I know it sounds like a lot but your body won't be hurt and nothing bad will happen after two days, other then you may get some cramps, wind, or some slight pain.

You could add a couple of prunes or a glass of prune juice to your daily diet. Try supplementing with flax seed. Increase the fiber in your diet ie. fresh fruits and veggies.

Most cases of constipation are not caused by a specific condition and it may be difficult to identify the exact cause. However, several factors can increase your chances of having constipation, including: not eating enough fibre, such as fruit, vegetables and cereals a change in your routine or lifestyle, such as a change in your eating habits having limited privacy when using the toilet ignoring the urge to pass stools immobility or lack of exercise not drinking enough fluids being underweight or overweight anxiety or depression Some ways you can help treat your constipation include: Increase your daily intake of fibre. You should eat at least 18-30g of fibre a day. High-fibre foods include fruit, vegetables and cereals. Add some bulking agents, such as wheat bran, to your diet. These will help make your stools softer and easier to pass. Increase your fluid intake. Drink at least 1.2 litres (six to eight glasses) of fluid a day (see Health A-Z: dehydration). Get more exercise by going for a daily walk or run. If your constipation is causing pain or discomfort, you may want to take a painkiller such as paracetamol. Make sure you always follow the dosage instructions carefully. Children under 16 years of age should not take aspirin. Identify a routine of a place and time of day when you are comfortably able to spend time in the toilet. Respond to your bowel's natural pattern: when you feel the urge, do not delay.

Laxatives and enemas don't "cure" constipation because constipation is not a disease it is a symptom of something else. Usually it is caused by not enough fiber or water in the diet. Sedentary people are particularly susceptible to constipation. Exercise will help stimulate peristaltic contractions in the colon. Also, people who use laxatives (like Miralax) typically take laxatives frequently. This leads to the body becoming dependent on laxatives. Miralax is polyethylene glycol. Do you think that's a natural product? Other causes are narcotic pain killers and some other strong non-narcotic pain killers. Lastly, sometimes there is an illness contributing to the constipation. This could be anything from a cold to cancer. If this is an on going problem go to the doctor for analysis. If you want to "relieve" your constipation, you could try eating prunes. I am talking about 6 or more at a time. They are high in fiber, liquid and are somewhat laxative in their effect. You say you never want to take an enema; however, you will take an oral laxative that disrupts the entire digestive tract in order to relieve a problem in the rectum. Most people are like you; however, a pint or two of warm water in an enema would provide relief in a matter of minutes. Hours or days versus minutes. Unpredictable bowel movements and possible diarrhea versus planned immediate relief. Eveyone has to make their own choices.

drink lots of water and do squat thrusts near the toilet. Eat 4 apples and a jar of olives for texture while doing the thrusts.
