Question: I have recently started a diet since I am a bit overweight. I am 287 pounds male at the moment. I don't understand why I gain little bit of weight even AFTER I went on a diet. Here is my daily eatings. Breakfast - Cereal, a little oatmeal, some pancakes, and coffee. Brunch - Some Cheetos, daily viatims, and ice cream Lunch - Macdolands sandwhich with fries and a salad and diet soda ( i dont usually drink diet soda but I figured it will help me lose weight) Dinner-lunch - Macdolands yogurt and apple pie Dinner - big chicken, fried eggs, bacon strips, cheese grilled sandwhich and some days a little pizza. Also, I exericse 4 times a week by walking to fast food place or walking home also I get up and switch channels on the TV instead of using the remote. i appeciate the help.

How is that a diet? If you consider that a diet, it's no wonder you're actually gaining weight. Oatmeal is kind of like cereal, so either eat one of the other. Cut out the pancakes. To add a little bit more to your cereal/oatmeal, add lots of fresh fruits. It'll fill you up and it's low in calories. Brunch is lunch and breakfast and it's for people who wake up late on weekends. So, a small meal between breakfast and lunch would be considered a snack. For your snack, eat a healthy non-fat yogurt. I recommend the ones from Silhouette, because they only have 35 calories. Cheetos and ice cream are the things people DON'T eat on a diet. For lunch, if you have a salad, you don't need fries. You shouldn't be going to fast food restaurants for your lunch. Try making your lunch at home, instead of eating out. It'll cut down calories and you'll actually know what you're putting inside your mouth. McDonalds foods are super unhealthy, so stay away from it. I would recommend a healthy chicken wrap that you made YOURSELF, not the one from McDonalds. You can also have a small salad on the side, with very little dressing. Cut out the apple pie. Why take yogurt from McDonalds when you can have the healthier, cheaper stuff? For dinner, cut out the bacon strips, cheese grilled sandwich, the pizza, and big chicken. You're eating a load of crap. Eat some brown rice with oven grilled chicken breast/fish/tuna/tofu and a salad with very little dressing. You're not doing enough exercise. Do at least an hour of cardio every day, because you have so much weight to lose. Do 3 days of strength-training. I would recommend you to get a gym membership and a personal trainer, because you obviously have no idea what going on a diet means and what foods and exercise you need to eat and do.

You are going to lose weight but your diet sounds a bit odd, I mean its great things to eat when you are on a slim fast milkshake diet, but I suggest you get some higher protein in there somewhere so you can supply your body with some extra energy, and add something green in there somewhere, you know some sort of vegetable. But besides that, it looks like you know what you're doing, and you are losing weight healthy, which is good.

I know this will work! It has worked for me :) Eat lots of protein in the morning, like toast with peanut butter and also fruit and milk. In the morning is when your metabolism is the highest so the food wont settle in and make fat. Always some small snacks so you will never be hungry like fruit, almonds or a yogurt. This also helps to keep ur metabolism running well. For lunch have like something light and simple like some yogurt, carrots, cereal, granola bar. Also DRINK WATER all the time. It helps to clean you out so the food doesnt settle. For supper you can still have whatever your family is eating but just in moderation and also make sure you take extra fruits and veggies :) Also go out and excercise. Even stepping on and off of a chair while watching tv is great. or go for a walk at night time. I can promise you, if you honestly stick to this you will look great!!! I hope this helps

wow alright you need to not eat so much crap like pancakes coffee cheetos ice cream mc donalds fries soda pies stay away from cheese an pizza and eat fruits and vegis but more vegies and get a gym membership and/or go to the track and get a sweat going on and keep your heart rate fast but not that fast and die! but set a goal lets say you get a time on a mile and wait a week or so and try to beat the time by going faster or going longer than a mile

LMAO! "male at the moment" hahaha I think you might be eating the wrong foods! Try eating bacon with every meal and then drinking the grease that you deep fry it in! I heard this works wonders!!! :P

save time and money during the week by buying lean protein such as chicken breasts in bulk and cooking a weeks worth on sunday night

The MOST important thing is to eat naturally..without medicines, chemicals, "starving" your self etc. first, it would be best for you to eat as healthy as possible..this will also help you considerably to lose weight gradually and naturally.. eat fresh fruits, vegetables, drink plenty of WATER..avoid all cokes, caffeines, smoking, alchohol etc. as these also add weight as well as they contain chemicals which disturb your natural bio rythmns as well as brain chemistry. try not to eat too much meat, and the meat you should eat should be "lean meat" such as steamed chicken and rice, or steamed fish with rice..and vegetables,, this should be your staple diet rice and vegetables with fruits..AVOID "JUNK FOOD" and "Fast Food" as this type of food is very unhealthy, lacking in vitamins really and has plenty of fattening molecules which make one gain weight and is very bad for overall health. if you snack,, try fruits with yogurt or fruit yogurt and nuts.. nuts are very healthy for your body .and contain proteins. go for walks every evening or morning or whenever you get time each day for 1 hour or 2 hours..make this somewhere you enjoy walking even if you have to drive a bit to there..and make this a daily routine..you will enjoy it once you get into it ..and it makes you feel great after..just walking for 1 hour or 2 hours. if you do this..every day for one month ..you should lose around 10 pounds (.714 stone) per month until you get to your natural healthy weight.. look up on the internet for an idea of what your weight for your height should be ..and when you get to this weight,,your body will look very nice and you will feel very good. 10 pounds (.714 stone ) each month in 3 months you should lose 30 pounds (2 stones, 2 pounds)..for sure...but no junk food and dont drink alcohol or smoke, dont eat junk..just healthy food with vitamins and walking 1 hour or 2 hours every day..and drink plenty of water..this is guaranteed way to lose weight naturally and for good, if you stick to this, which you should,,as it makes you feel so much more positive due to the vitamins and lack of chemicals making you feel depressed... btw, forgot to mention,,just in case you dont know how to really make healthy meals..buy a "food steamer" at your local deparment store..they are very cheap and work very well..as well as buy a "rice cooker" which is also very cheap..eating rice is a great way to get your necessary carbs "healthy carbs" to lose weight and has lots of natural energy inside. you can buy asian rice at most large supermarkets or if you have a local oriental market..they sale quality asian rice.. thai or indian rice is good "jasmine rice".. buy corn or canola oil to sprinkle on vegetables or rice before steaming to add to taste as well as you can buy several nice spices like "cumin" or "Curry powders", etc.just sprinkle on the vegetables before steaming to give nice taste. drink "Green Tea" as this is very healthy and helps burn extra fat faster...you can buy quality green tea at most oriental shops or large supermarkets as well

becca, I have been trying to lose weight for about 6 months now and have tried almost every single weight loss pill thats out there... 99% of them don't work, I say 99% because I recently tried one that is starting to show some real results, acai berry pills..? so far I have been taking them for 2 months and I have lost 22lbs!
