Question: i'm doing a chemistry assignment and i have to find out the chemicals that are in detox foods which help loose weight that you cant get from a normal healthy diet :)

Would I recommend the diet, yes, it is a healthy diet and I think what ever the result it will be good for you to try.

The formula for losing weight is easy - eat less food and move more often - the difficulties appear when we actually try to put that into operation! There are a lot of stumbling blocks in the real world don't you think?! The only diet that really worked for me is green tea, it can be checked out in the resource box underneath, they have a small number of free trials left, it has been highlighted in Reader's Digest and CNN. I melted away thrity pounds, it really does work!

It's fast but very unhealthy- you lose muscle instead of fat, you lose vital nutrients and it lasts only as long as you're on the diet.

Stay away from diet pills. They can cause problems down the road. I took diet pills after my daughter was born and I did lose weight. However, years later I developed a thyroid problem and gained 60 pounds because of it. I've lost more than half of the 60 pounds, but I still have 20-25 more to lose and its extremely hard now because of the thyroid problem. Just eat less and exercise. If you want to take supplements, take fiber anddigestive enzymes. Don't take anything that can screw up your metabolism longterm. It's not worth it.
