Question: When I say quickly I don't mean in a couple of days or even a week. How can I lose about 5-10 pounds in a month? I want to look my best for school. I already eat healthy and exercise but I'm not losing anymore weight. I'm 14 and used to weight 150 but I lost 25 pounds and now I weigh 125. Any ideas or exercises that will help me lose a few more pounds and tone up? I wanna get rid of my belly fat and get toner arms and legs. Help please and thank you :)

First thing first...If youre eating healthy and exercising, youre probably just growing miss. :-) Youre 14 and i know its hard not to care about this kind of issue, but youre just developing at this age. TIPS: Count your calorie intake vs your calorie burning. Average person needs about 2000 a day with modest exercising and movement. Check your source of calorie intake by lookin at the nutrional values. Some foods and liquids turn into fat faster than others. High Fructose Corn syrup (found in many sodas and juices) contribute a lot to being over weight. Some carbs ARE better than others. White bread vs Wheat bread? Wheat will sustain you longer and not turn into cellulite. Sugars, Candy vs Fruit, i hope you know that answer to this one. Exercising. Just what are you doing? Jogging? Free weights? Do at least 15-30 of ANYThing that makes you sweat at least 3 times a week. If you have a solid plan for eating correctly AND exercising youll see results. But honestly, dont get too caught up on comparing your self to all the glam you see in magazines and tv. Youre growing into a mature lady and those girls you see... are usually enhanced by photoshop and trick camera angles to hide their flaws. :-) Dont fret youll be fine miss.

When you are losing weight, you should exercise and diet together. If you exercise without dieting, you will get bigger appetite, which will lead to increase of weight, or muscle grow underneath the fat layer, and make you bulkier. If you diet without exercising, you will become flabby and will have excess skin. For diet, go wheat free. No pasta, pizza, bread and so on. And no food after 7 p.m. People achieve marvellous results with it. Depending on your initial weight, you can drop upwards from 20 pounds a month. If you don't eat wheat then you don't eat all those sticky, fatty goey cakes, you don't eat junk food, and you don't eat biscuits. But your diet is still balanced. It costs nothing, and you do not have to calculate points or to buy special meals or plans. For exercising, start with walking, and then switch to running/jogging. Running is the most efficient and calorie-burn exercise ever. If you are overweight a lot, walk first or you may have health complications (heart attack, disjointed bones and so on). Weight lifting is a good means to target your problem areas for men and women. It's not necessarily to become a bodybuilder or even join a gym - a couple of dumbbells will help you to target your problem areas (stomach, butt, legs, arms, chest).

I'm also 14 and used to weigh 120 now I weigh 106. You have to eat really healthy and excercise alot. Don't go to fast food places or eat a ton of junk. Lay down on the sugar. Try something you love like yoga, dancing, gymnastics, soccer, anything. If you eat unhealthy one day it's okay but just make sure to eat healthy the next day. This isn't always something that can be accomplished in a month but I'm sure you'll lose some weight for the new school year if you follow this. Hope this helps, ~Danielle

At 125lbs, you probably don't need to be losing much more weight as much as to tone up more, which will make you look tight but still healthy. One month should give you enough time to look fit. Since you've been exercising but not losing anymore or any faster, you've probably hit a plateau where your body's adjusted to your current exercise routine. Try to do interval training, combining different types of weight traing (exercise bells, lunges, leg lifts, etc) with cardio at varying speeds. If you run, run at different speeds and levels. Upping the speed much higher for short bursts. Try following a aerobics video or kickboxing is very effective. For flatter stomach, there's still no better way than crunches. And don't forget to eat lean proteins and cut out as much refined sugar and fatty foods as you can, except for fish like salmon.

jogging is an excellent exercise because it let you lose weight evenly throughout your whole body. If you want to lose weight in specific areas, you should target them with exercises. If they are your problem areas, they will be very difficult to tone. You will have to work double on them. The best approach is this: 1. Lower/control your daily calorie intake (control for normal weight, lower for overweight). 2. Run/jog to lower your overall body fat percentage. 3. Target your problem areas with exercises. an excellent exercise, you can do it in front of your TV: sit on a stool, and put your toes under something (piece of heavy furniture, for example). In your hands hold a little dumbbell. Please, make sure that it is not very heavy, start with one kilo, for example, or you will damage your back and spine! Slowly move the upper part of your body back, until it's parallel with the ground. Stop for a second and move it back to the sitting position. Repeat ten times. Every week add to the number of repetitions. You will see the results in a week, guaranteed! You will see or feel under the fat - if you have any - six pack and muscles. Dumbbells do wonders. Much better than these crunches - I came up to three hundreds and there was no results AT ALL. With the dumbbells you will see it in a week.
