Question: I'm fourteen and i'm a picky eater. This year, i didn't take part in too many sports and i've been gaining some weight. I've been eating a lot of junk all of a sudden and it feels like i'm always hungry! What are some healthy foods that taste Good! Thank you so much for the help! ♥

Fruits are great for you and they are delicious! You can even make smoothies with fruit, skim milk, and ice cubes! Or what about Baked Lays or the other chips that come baked? They aren't necessarily "healthy", but they are a great snack and a lot better for yout han regular chips. As far as vegetables go, not a lot of 14 year olds (or even adults!) love every vegetable. The vegetables that I enjoyed when I was your age are broccoli, cauliflower, and corn. My husband has always enjoyed asparagus. There are a lot of vegetables that you can cook in different ways to make them tasty for you. A great snack for when you are super hungry is celery with peanut butter on it. Peanut butter is a great source or protein and will really help fill you up and also hit your sweet tooth cravings, while celery is packed with nutrients. Good luck! More than anything, just remember to enjoy your life and instead of getting a burger with a large order of fries, enjoy the fries, but make it a small order of fries! There's no reason why you should deprive yourself when you could just practice moderation, which is key in any healthy and balanced diet!

Fresh fruits are healthy in moderation. Juices are high in calories and sugar - better to eat the whole fruit. Veggies are super healthy, especially raw in salads or used with a ranch dip. Try to stay away from corn, potatoes and rice though - they're OK in small amounts. Nuts are healthy, almonds, walnuts, pecans, pistachios -they're high in calories though so watch your portions. You can really pretty much eat all natural (not processed) foods if you stay away from sweets, sodas, refined carbohydrates, fast food and fatty foods.

It depends on what you like to eat. Try eating more fruits and vegetables, stay away from red meats. You can eat whatever you like as long as you balance it out with healthy foods and don't eat too much of it.

fruits like bananas, apples, grapes, blueberries, strawberries, raspberries, blackberries, mangoes, watermelon (you can put them in the freezer for like 10 minutes, for some reason they taste awesome like this), roasted almonds, pretzels (in moderation), POP chips, natural lite butter popcorn, edamame (soy beans) sprinkled with sea salt, the list goes on...
